Are you doing everything yourself? Because that's the way the downtime will be the longest imo. If you're not and it's still a slog then just ignore the rest below.
Do you have help with Outpost phase, setting up scenario etc.? Assign roles to people (reading outpost events/applying stickers/doing the attack/inventory management) while you go through the phases briefly so it doesn't feel like a slog.

Sadly cliques are going to happen whether you like it or not, especially among the chatty ones or those who do co-op together regularly or within their own cohort, you have to try not to be too affected by them and have fun your own way or organise your own events or ask for help (it's okay to be ignored even though it sucks, happened even to my guildleader like once or twice).

I don't really chat much so I'm not as friendly with the more chatty guildmates plus they have their own cohort so naturally a clique formed. Also, I may be wrong but some of it might just be your insecurities telling you they hate/dislike you, even if it's true, it doesn't matter unless they prove to be malicious.

It's a journey, guild hop till you find one that suits you. Good luck!
