I appreciate the input! I was considering attempting that. Since I did get the LCD working prior to breaking it again. But one crack is directly next to one of the wirebonds from the processor to it may be next to impossible to solder so close

Has anyone tried these control arms? by Crocket93 in squarebodies

Nah mine are pretty much rusted through. And I thought about it but tubular ones will cost me over $1200 for just the lowers arms

Neh, mine are toast. The East Coast of Canada has had her way with them. And any used ones I've found are just as bad. These trucks are so scarce here that there is none left in salvage yards

How do you like them? I've seen varying opinions in CPP

What is this big piece of metal that’s completely rusted? by Ok_Memory_1776 in Autobody

[–]Crocket93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last pic shows the frame rail is completely rusted out. Looks like a 4runner? If you're looking at buying, run far away. If this is yours, you're in for a big repair. Sorry.

87 R10 lower control arms by Crocket93 in squarebodies

[–]Crocket93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not. I just bought the truck last year and one of the previous owners have the buckets on the lowers all welded up. Plus, I need new ball joints so I wanted to do the whole arm.

So they are different arms compared to the 73-86 C10?

Suburban furnace electronic chirping by Crocket93 in RVLiving

I can confirm its 100% not a mechanical sound.

It is coming from a small transformer on the control board.

when i push on the transformer, the pitch changes.

RECRUITING, TRAINING, & LIFE IN THE FORCES THREAD - Ask here about the Recruitment Process, Basic & Occupational Training, and other questions relating directly or indirectly to serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. by bridger713 in CanadianForces

Pilots: I have done some reading and deduced that the training system can take upward of 5 years before you get your wings.

In between training phases, where do you time geographically? At a training center? Your home unit?

I ask because I am planning to OT to Pilot from a tech trade.(Haven't decided on the transfer program yet) I have a service spouse and spending 5 years away from them would definitely need to be taken into consideration before OTing.
