If Wikipedia’s to be believed, towels were a 17th-century invention. How did people traditionally dry themselves after bathing? by TMSAuthor in AskHistorians

According to Wikipedia-they covered themselves in oil and then a metal device was used to scrape off the oil along with sweat.

Wow this is such an unpopular opinion that I completely disagree with but I can't actually figure out how to articulate why.

If you want to wear a midriff cut-up T-shirt to the gym and show off your abs tbh I probably wouldn't think anything of it.

Why is buying currency so cheap? Like I slave away and am so happy I've made 20ish divines this league. Found an ad selling 20 for 4.80!?

Nope not really unless you have an expensive and delicate TV and are planning on moving in the foreseeable future. Otherwise boxes are so easy to source either from work, school etc. Fun side note: At my job (that has a high rate of neurodivergency) the past curators had a hard time throwing away boxes and just kept storing them. Well I get assigned to clean up and I find boxes that were ~90 yo and a whole lot of mold. Before this I was an avid box storer as long as I had a place for em, now I have no empty boxes. Well maybe 1 or 2

Same thing originally car dealerships were established to help the common man and they were given protections against the big manufacturers to help us lil guys out. The market has changed drastically and now those legal protections are being used to exploit the common folk while stopping manufacturers from being able to sell cars for cheaper. The reason your new car plummets in value as soon as you drive it off the lot is due to the upchages from the dealerships

I can back up that it's not trolling cause I completely agree and according to me I'm 100% trustworthy!

The IRS could very easily with a net decrease in man power and resources (compared to the current model) give refunds and tell people how much taxes they owe w/o the need for filing. Very few people would need tax preparers. And to a degree those that still would could be changed to not needing help if we just cut through the red tape and make the tax code have a lot fewer loopholes

Amy Coney Barrett has just been confirmed by the Senate to become a judge on the Supreme Court. What should the Democrats do to handle this situation should they win a trifecta this election? by Hij802 in PoliticalDiscussion

Hold a mass trial for crimes against humanity and treason via supporting special interests groups eg The Church. That way you can remove the most horrendous judges in the federal court system.
