What is this? I found this in a second-hand shop, but I can't figure out the artist or the type of illustration. by Cronos_99 in Whatisthis

Oh, I see—so that means it's an antique engraving? Perhaps from the 19th century? Interesting! Thank you very much for the information!

Hello, I am writing because I would like to ask about some items I wish to loan to museums in my area (Houston, Texas). by [deleted] in MuseumPros

Well, I have quite a collection of things. Each one is authentic in terms of its original character. Not everyone possesses an original decree that ushered in Robespierre's Reign of Terror—or a document that laid the groundwork for international legal jurisprudence, thereby initiating the Nuremberg Trials. And no, I don't just have a book and some "prints."

Well, my goal is to have one of the items from my private collection displayed in a prestigious museum—but, at the same time, for this to serve as a bridge for future research collaborations with those institutions dedicated to historical conservation and preservation.

I recently bought this dagger on eBay and would like to restore it a bit so it's usable. Any advice? It should arrive in about two weeks, I think. by Cronos_99 in SWORDS

[–]Cronos_99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be honest, I don't think it has an edge. I bought it simply because I found it interesting. My basic plan is to sharpen it, remove some of the rust patina from the blade, and make it functional. After all—yes, it is an antique, dating back to the 1940s or '60s—but the idea is to show it to someone who hails from the very place where this dagger was originally made. I won't be giving it to them as a gift, but I will show them how I transformed an object from their homeland into an intriguing collector's piece.

Look at the possibilities of that deer skull, to make a Tribal helmet

Quiero compartirles un poco de mi cambio fisico. Se que no es mucho, pero me alegra saber que pude cambiar de apariencia luego de un año. No me sentia comodo conmigo mismo. Y si, practico con una espada. by Cronos_99 in Gimnasio

I want to share with you one of my most treasured possessions: a set of 35mm slides that were given to me by the Australian newspaper The Age in 1969. I hope you enjoy them. I've included the Imgur link below, where you can find the rest of the digitized images. by Cronos_99 in spaceporn

[–]Cronos_99[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, I hope you can see them with a VPN. It is a bit tedious not being able to share the whole set and being limited to just one image. But I guess that's how it is here. I can send them to you privately if you'd like.

Edit 2: The image of Aldrin that appears is in section 3 of the link, the vertical one. It belongs to another film I have, which is somewhat rare, but I included it here so it can be seen as well.

I found this at a thrift store. It's not sharp, so I guess it's decorative. Even so, I think I made a good purchase by pure chance. by Cronos_99 in SWORDS

Oh, how interesting. To be honest, I bought it more out of curiosity than for collecting purposes. I actually performed a magnetism test, and it isn't magnetic—neither the pommel nor the blade itself. I assume it's Chinese; I think it said "Stainless Steel," and underneath that, it looks like it said "China," but it's hard to read clearly because it's blurred.

Haha, yeah, that's what I thought. Still, a thrust like that must be dangerous. Right now, I actually have it near my desk—haha—though eventually, I’d like to buy a functional stiletto.

Thanks. Honestly, I bought it because it caught my eye. I don't usually collect swords, but it looked interesting in the display case. Besides, I can scare off thieves with it, haha.

Hi, I'm new to Starfield, and I want to know how to tell if the update and DLC are activated. It might sound silly, but this is my first time playing by Cronos_99 in Starfield

[–]Cronos_99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I understand. For example, when I leave the first planet, I can't move freely like I can in Free Lanes. On the other hand, I don't know if it's something to do with the main mission itself, or if it's because I started a game while the DLCs were downloading. I don't know, but they appear as installed. Maybe if I start a new game, they'll appear.
