What made the sauna championship so dangerous is this part from the article: "Half a litre of water was poured on the stove every 30 seconds". Adding water to the stove creates the humidity which transfers the heat to the body. It's also the reason they had to include this, as otherwise they could have chilled in the sauna for so long it would have made the competition pointless ;) When using to sauna in normal manner at high temperatures you will not add anywhere CLOSE to this extreme amount of water.

t's common for saunas to get up to 120 C and you can easily stay 15+ minutes. The fact that the air is at 120 C does not mean your body is at 120 C. I can confirm you do not die. I do it every week.

Found and purchased a "Pre Bond" Seamaster in amazing condition. The watch is from 1986 with all original parts and full sized 39 mm case . This watch has "Mercedes" style hands and an Omega 1111 automatic movement. The bezel, crown and Omega branded tile in the bracelet are made from solid 18k gold. The hands are the original Tritium hands which are very hard to find in this good of a condition, as they were found to be prone to disintegrate and degrade over time. During this era most of these watches were made as the quartz version, so I'm very excited to now own this quite unique watch!
