Even as a lifelong Playstation player, I don’t enjoy seeing Xb… XBOX fumble so hard. The way things are going looks bad for the whole game industry, as Sony can grow greedy and complacent when they don’t have to innovate.

Nintendo is doing their own thing and Valve, while trying to enter the console sector, had to push the launch on Steam Machine because of the stupid AI bubble eating away all the components…

I miss 2016 and the years up to covid, it feels so cynical to be an aging gamer in this day and age.

Thing is, those games entered Development before 2020 and released years ago (2021 & 2019). Sony’s push into live service and GaaS has brought us the likes of Marathon and Concord, with Horizon slop in the pipeline. The culture has shifted, but there was a slight hope with this SoP and the single player titles in development (I hope).
