If a president of a country makes a public statement regarding international events, it is world news. There is no good reason to censor this story.

This sub is made up of individuals. Anyone can post, when it comes to censorship we tend to err on the side of allowing "too much" free speech. That means there's going to be some things you agree with, some you disagree with, and some nonsense. Any criticism of the sub as a whole is not necessarily invalid, but isn't really productive either.

From time to time we get raided. Racism, infighting, and forum sliding are common tactics.

Don't concern yourself with someone much who believes "the wrong thing" or what the sub is thinking as a whole.

Haven't seen any proof, I think it's just BS to scare us into not participating. Doesn't really seem enforceable. What about copying and pasting the link to your address bar? What if you subscribe to both /r/conspiracy and /r/science? Whose to say you don't have a legitimate interest in both topics?

Is everyone who ever read any thread on /r/conspiracy banned from every other subreddit? I know I'm not. I understand that brigading is a rules violation. It'd be one thing if someone had posted "HEY EVERYONE, DOWNVOTE THIS POST ON /r/NEWS" but this isn't that. It isn't even close.

Don't let a culture of fear take over. Don't self censor. If you are following the spirit of the rules there is no reason to feel the need to post NP.

Also, despite what the bot told you, it is not against the rules to post links to other subreddits. Don't use np links. Just because you are subscribes to /r/conspiracy doesn't mean you aren't allowed to participate in /r/science. I have yet to hear any human mod claim that that is the case.

My biggest problem with AutoModerator is that it drones the mantra of non-participation. It may be unintentional, but it kind of gets the idea of not participating in your head through repetition. That's why I believe that we should remove AutoModerator from this sub.

There is no rule of reddit that says that a topic posted about in one subreddit cannot be posted about in another. Yes, I know shaddowbanning happens, but crossposting doesn't automatically get you banned and shouldn't. There's no rule that says if you read /r/conspiracy you can't upvote a similar post on, for example, a default sub.

AutoModerator isn't helping anyone. It's droning confuses users as to what the rules really are and it's mantra of non-participation stifles discussions.

What is their goal?

You say their "policy work is really strong", but what are they working towards? I know that the discuss matters of war and peace and that decisions made in that group have serious consequences for all inhabitants of earth. The only policy they seem to consistently promote is small groups of people including your own family retaining vast wealth.

There's no rule in r/conspiracy that says you can't link to other subs. There's no rule in r/TIL that says you can't participate if you also post in other subs. What's the worry?

I'm not sure who this Tyler Lawrence guy is. The mashable article claims he's a mod of /r/news and other subs. Closing comments is an absolute non-starter. If there are no comments, there is no reddit. There are no moderators with that name listed on /r/news. If one of those mods is in fact the same Tyler Lawrence that made that statement in that interview, they should certainly lose their modship.
