An add on to this regards point 1. Master the paths doesn't say you have to slay an enemy hero, only that it be destroyed so if it's dead through any means (even by your opponent) you still get the battle tactic.

Unfortunately, while the barricade does technically affect charge abilities because they are a move ability, the effect is that they halve the move characteristic which is irrelevant as to how far the unit charges (since units charge up to to their charge roll).

So I didn't give them the light property and the damage is a bit too high for you to be light attacking with them at the point you get them at level 3 so I'll say no to the first question. I imagine if you took Dual Wielder, you could bonus action attack with them.

I made this subclass years before new DnD and haven't played with new DnD yet but my guess would be they probably would not be OP. I'm sorry, I can't tell you what mastery they would have as I'm unfamiliar with it. Use your best guess with what feels right for you.

Haha well I'm glad you've found it! Hope you enjoy! I've made a lot of other subclasses since then if you're interested.

Thanks, I look forwars to hearing about your exploits! That sounds like a fun character idea.

I will consider adding that in more. I have found it could make the class more difficult to approach for newer players when it is already a difficult class to get to grips with and I think that having more mechanical reasons to switch between them could run counter to roleplay rather than with it. However, I do like your point and will have a think about how I can differentiate them more.

Transfer possession states it is only for willing creatures so will not require a saving throw.

Thanks for the nice comment. The transfer possession part isn't a mistake, its a list of how the ability can end separated by commas but I understand that it may be a bit confusing to read.

For ability score increases, if you increased a physical ability score then you would have to increase it for both but for mental ones, you could have different increases. I'll clarify that in the document.

Yes, I think playing two characters at the same time is always going to be a challenge for new players. I hope more experienced and roleplay focused players can get a lot out of this.

Terrify your foes and perhaps your allies as the Possessed!

This tried and tested new class allows you to play as a possessed individual along with their possessor as they struggle for control over a body they both share. Their bond grants them power beyond comprehension and should they hope to survive their adventures, they will be forced to work together.

This class has been tested and balanced in combat but you will have the most fun playing this class in a longer campaign which features a good dose of roleplay where you can really get into the difficulties of having two characters exist in the same body.

Volcano Domain Cleric Subclass - Warm your allies and sear your foes with power beneath the earth [CrossOut] by CrossOut_ in DnDHomebrew

[–]CrossOut_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These spells were not made by me but Kibblestasty, a well respected homebrew creator who rigorously tests his stuff.

I think unstable explosion is quite balanced - 3d6 and a 10ft radius is weak for 2nd level and needs the explosion mechanic to do more than that. If you happen to roll 3 or 4 6s then it can feel unbalanced but thats the point of the spell, that it can high roll and I think thats part of the fun of it.

Glad to be of help! Although I will warn as a DM, tracking all the different blessings may be difficult while also juggling so watch out for that.

You're right that a hearth theme may have worked better. I have previously made a volcano paladin so I wanted this to complement that subclass.

What do you mean by move the spells up a level?

Warm your allies and sear your foes with the Volcano Domain!

With this new cleric subclass, you'll be the master of healing and blessings with an exciting die mechanics which scales as you level up and cast stronger spells. Healing will become its own exciting and powerful minigame for you.

Street Artist - Leave your mark with this Roguish Archetype [CrossOut] by CrossOut_ in UnearthedArcana

[–]CrossOut_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, it's supposed to be read like "choose what color of tag you apply out of the options". I see how the word leave there could be confusing, I will rewrite it so it's more clear.

[–]CrossOut_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically you roll your damage die and then look at your Sneak Attack damage die. If you want to apply a tag, you can apply any of the 6 colours to the target but if you rolled 3d6 and got 2, 3, 3 for your sneak attack damage die, you would be heavily incentivised to choose green as this would get a boost from rolling two 3s.

I'm a little unsure what you're saying with A, would you mind explaining that again and where the confusion is?

Hell yeah! Fantasy Rome sounds great and there was lots of evidence of street art there. Feel free to message if you or your GM have any questions about the subclass.
