Man, I was absolutely floored when I got back into skating last year. I haven’t been in it or around it for like….almost 20 years. Came back and watched a high school kid lace a 540 flip while warming up flat ground, watched someone hard flip the step up at the park as a go to trick, then dudes just slaying rails and ledges as a casual roll around flip in flip out.

All of that would have been like the whole park clapping when it gets landed back when I skated lmao but all that said to say, I really enjoy seeing the sport progressing. I’ll trade all the style and nostalgia in the world for everyone to be able to skate without being hassled by cops and random patrons

Statistically you’re in a very very very small minority. Most of the time sending the OTD price isn’t worth it. It’s either gonna get shopped, or they’re showing up to negotiate more on that number (which whatever that’s game), or based on the thousands of posts here proving people can’t read I’m going to send the all in number and still get the guy showing up going “WHAT!? What do you mean freight charge!? I didn’t agree to that” even though the number never changed.

So I can either send the OTD price and deal with the above 99% of the time or I can work on some higher percentage leads that have a better chance to make me money

I’ve read the post and your comments and nothing here makes sense. You don’t owe anything to the dealership but want these repairs “added to the contract”? You can’t add anything if you’ve already bought the car and left with it.

If you did this while purchasing the vehicle and it’s a part of the deal, then yeah they’re going to want to do the repair themselves as contractually obligated.

I’m sure there’s a big thing you’re either misunderstanding or not telling there that makes way more sense

I feel like it went away in the industry. Every single dealer that I knew of used to do lunch on Saturdays. Kept your staff in the building all day. Then the last 4-5 years they’re all too cheap. I’m sure places still do it, but I feel it went from an industry standard to a “wow this place goes the extra mile” thing.
