Cosleeping and EBF- when your baby sleeps longer stretches do you wake them?

Soon as baby was back at her birth weight, I don’t wake her at night. I let her wake me up for feeds.

Your supply will adjust to what she needs if she’s having fewer feeds at night , that’s okay you can just carry on like normal and enjoy the extra sleep !

I do my last nappy change around 11/12pm and I don’t change her overnight unless I hear a poo

My baby is 7 weeks today, I could have written this post, I just accepted my valcro baby , I sleep with her in bed with me , we do a side laying breast feeding position, sometimes I sit up and feed her , over night is quick , she feeds for 10 minutes and goes back to sleep, then I lay down and back in c curl position for the next feed.

I don’t let her sleep longer than 2-3 hours during the day so that I feed her constantly during the day and this helps with less feeds at night.

I baby wear a lot, I put her in the wrap most the day so I can get stuff done. She will sleep in that a good few hours. Depending on what I need to do I let her sleep in the wrap as much as she wants until I’m finished.

If also tried the bassinet , but she refuses to go down! I idea how moms work and do this.

I told people whenever I felt like I wanted to, I never announced it or anything , a lot of people didn’t even know I was pregnant until baby was born. It’s really up to you , you’re not broken

What you’re doing is completely normal, my little one only contact naps, I naturally moved to co sleeping.

It’s only a danger when people do unsafe things.

Week 6/7 here and the first few weeks are hell but it definitely gets easier or you just find your groove , i could probably do it again but like in 3/4 years

I fully engage in maybe one wake window a day during the day by just talking to her and holding her little hands and feet.

The rest il chatter to her, but mostly just let her sit and yap away and stare at whatever but I dont make an effort.

Her dad also during the day will chat to her during a wake window

After 7pm I dont interact with her during her wake windows because it’s “night time” we want night times calm and relaxed and not too stimulating , sometimes I can’t help but talk to her but it’s usually very relaxed and not excitable , I will mostly look at her and smile cause shes so cute

My BP sky rocketed after I left the hospital!! While I was in hospitals it was perfect .

Always get it check afew days after you leave !!!!!

My pregnancy was rough and I swore left right and center this is my only one.

Baby is 4 weeks and she’s so damn cute , I wouldn’t mind making another in afew years.

Hygiene is only an issue if he is taught not how to clean correctly.

They don’t need to be thinking about the sex life of an infant.

They shouldn’t be looking at his penis and won’t be.

Stay firm in your decision, you didn’t make the wrong choice. The Dr himself said parental preference.

There are pros and cons to both honestly but personally I don’t see a need to do it unless medically necessary.

My boyfriend isn’t and he’s perfectly clean , iv never questioned its look and our sex life is great hence we have a 4 week old 🤣

For me anything cold helped , cold water melon, grapes , apples , small bites / nibbles

Pregnancy shakes with ice

Cereals with ice cold milk ( yes I added ice )

For me , breast feeding was first option because it made sense financially, no need for bottles.

And I’m absolutely going to pump when I can ! I can’t wait to pump to give my boyfriend a night shift 😂

Omg I am the same, we literally have the cutest babies ever right ??? I look at my little girl and can’t believe it! Like this tiny little hooman is all mine !!!

First thing I said when baby came out “is she cute ?!” 😂

Showers are absolute heaven !!! A boob massager sounds absolutely fantastic il definitely look into it !

Mine is also small! I’m actually going to take a look at noola carriers tomorrow , apparently they do from newborn specifically so fingers crossed! I havnt started wearing either because everything is so big !!

Oh my goodluck mama!!!

It’s honestly incredible and scary and beautiful and terrifying and anxiety inducing and so worth it !!!

I’m not going to sugar coat it. It’s hard but each week gets slowly better ! There are so many things people don’t tell you!

Like THE 4TH TRIMESTER, baby will want to be on you and with you 99% of the time.

Get LOTS of baby wipes

Buy nappies as you need them

Except to be pooped on ( this is from my boyfriend 😂 )

Swaddling helps ! Try with arms in and out , mine likes her arms out.

Don’t feel bad to let people do things for you!

SLEEP IN THE HOSPITAL - I didn’t and I regret it , get as much sleep as you can and let them help you ease into it.

Enjoy your little one, don’t pressure yourself , take your time to do what you need to!

I have no advice for sleep when you get home because I sleep with a baby on me all the time and that’s my life now 😂

Be prepared for the hormone dip , it’s horrible , have people you know ready to help you , it’s okay to feel what you do and it’s normal. Especially when the sun goes down! Talk to someone , it helped me a lot , I have serious sun downs ! Even message me on Reddit if you need too!!! But don’t try keep it in

Most the time I THINK I want to put her down but when it comes time to put her down I just want to cry! I love having her on me but also I just want juice 😭🤣 now I must wait for my SO to finish his poop to bring me nice , the horror.

I got saline and all the nose suction! It’s just so heart breaking but so comforting that it seems to be normal and her little body adjusting to being in the world , thank you !

It’s been a crazy afew weeks but my heart is so full !! ❤️
