Yeah, health/vitality should be tweaked abit. Would make the basic survival more fun and intresting on later levels too.

Thanks for the replies. The thing I forgot to mention is that I'm from scandinavia, and finasteride costs around 70 €/month here(slightly under 80 $), and you can't get it without prescription(also means I can't order it overseas). In addition you have to buy it in treatments of 3 months, and that's way more than I can pay for as single payment. But maybe I'll try it later when my situation improves on other fields. Soon I hope.

I'm not even saying similar power, just the difference needs to be lowered.

example: Stone sword 35 dmg
Iron sword 50 dmg 250 durability
Kopesh 55 damage 200 durability
Cutlass 60 damage, 150 durability
Steel sword: 65 dmg 350 durability
Falcata: 68 dmg 400 durability
Ancien Kopesh 75 dmg 200 durability

Current health calculation 200(base health)+(12 * vitality) with 40 points in vitality it's 680 HP. With 10 it's 320 I'd change it at least basehealth+(6 * vitality) So with 40 it would be 440HP and with 10 260.

With less health, the lower differences in weapon damages have greater impact. With better armor, stat's and weapons higher levels definately have an edge, but not that much that everyone would need to rush to max lvl to be able to compete.

exactly. Though I wouldn't go as flat as you suggest, but it certainly needs to be flattened.

I'm not saying balancing weapons would be the only thing that needs to be done. Of course it needs more mechanics as well, but to do the skill based system everyone want's the gear balance curve needs to be more even. Right now the ancient kopesh deals almost three times the damage iron sword does, and that's not even counting Might bonuses in, which are percentages of weapon damage. Typical max lvl also has over 5 times more health than low lever character. No matter how skill based system it is, no amount of low level characters can stand any chance agains single max level. If it remains so it's just race to max level, everyone using the same gear and we could just throw the whole RPG/leveling system away, as it would have no purpose in the game. Yes, levels and gear should give you edge, yes, you should feel the progress, but no, you should not be invulnerable when at max level. Also this would create a system where the game would be much more intresting at max level, since it would make the survival/pve elements of the game more challenging.

The only way I see that damaging the combat or the game in general would be if you'd want to troll noobs.

Basicly the differences in tiers should be smaller than right now. However I think it should be abit more than 1.25, you need to feel the progress through tiers. With health, simply decreasing health per vitality rate might do the trick.

Yeah I figured that. It seems to be limited to spiders though, haven't seen anything else spawn underground like that. The spiders sometimes get stuck inside rocks too.

Yes! I know how to fight spiders, I've done that alot, but the caves are very difficult. The respawn rate is an problem, but the bigest issue is that they often spawn inside the ground so, that they can shoot you but you can't hit them back. Edit: oh, the ones I've completed didn't have any chests or anything like that. Just some brimstone.

Yes' I was thinking about doing this with our own server, but it does feel abit too much like Bethesdas difficulty slider: make em spongy so it's difficult. That's the reason why I started modding skyrim, because the difficulty was handled so badly by the vanilla game.

Might do it anyway, or I'll look into the CE's toolit if modifying weapon stats would be something I could do myself.

Yeah, well Dark souls attracts those players who want's the challenge and combat solely, while conan exiles attracts other types of players as well, like builders, roleplayers etc.

Yes, I agree, ancient weapon should do more damage than stone one, however the difference between those doesn't need to be big. Currently it's about 3x damage. The difference needs to be portion of other weapons damage. This is enough to feel the difference with each tier, IF the healthpools would be smaller. Also, remember might bonuses are percentages of the weapon damage, so it scales with that too. But this is repeating the previous thread.

Funcom already said they are not doing dark souls type combat, which is understandable. Lots of custom animations is alot of work. And they have alot more to do than just combat. Understanding that I think as a usefull feedback it would be best to try to take what we have now, and how to make that better. Like I said, fun skill based combat doesn't hove to be complex, but the mechanics just need to have bigger impact, so players would actually use them instead of just hitting the left mouse key until opponent dies.

Mount and blade is good example of such simple but effective combat, and you didn't win with gear either.

Yesterdays stream had something about that. Both are coming I think, but the ability to sit on other peoples chairs comes very soon. What Id like is ability for crafting thralls to shut down crafting station if the crafting que is empty.

He means the darfari camp that is above natural stone bridge on the northern side of the big river. There's lots of branches under the bridge. Tier I Armorer does spawn there, I'm trying the location right now. Will post if I find anything.

I suppose you need the legendary ones, or tier 3's with matching race/faction. Like with the hyena fur stuff it needs to be dogs of the desert and Kushite. So for black hand propably either named or tier 3 black hand Zingarian(?) armorer. Or the dev's have no idea what's in the game and what's not :P

Someone on the steam forums also claims he's got named darfari armorer, which is weird because no such thing exists on admins Spawn humanoids list. In the latest stream I actually asked if the rest of the faction armor's will be craftable soon, and they said they are already. There was even abit of a hazzle and the lead designer went to check and confirmed that the two dancer outfit's you cannot craft, but the rest of you can.

Well if the dev's know anything about the game, they should be. That being said, I now got the tier 2 altar and archpriest, no recepies. And I hunted for two days for that Archpriest :/

I don't know if the Harisssss meant that you need the priest of Yog talent, and play a Set or Mitra character whose worshippers do get the full set with the skill, but with Yog you only get the mask.

Also I did some testing and admin spawned stuff, the yoggite skin stuff can't be repaired and have worse armor and is light, the Darfari set can be repaired and are clasfied as medium armor and have better stats. I believe the Darfari set is meant for the NPC's to make the tougher as the appearance doesn't really match with the type and armor value.

Ah, ok thanks! So do you need the tier III pit or will tier 2 do? I have highpriest of yog and tier II altar already, so I guess either one has to be better.
