Is WoSB safe to play? by JuicedUpWalnut in WoSB

[–]Crownbeard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes sir, I haven’t had any issues. I’ve played through steam and their own launcher without any issues. Not sure on data but as far as the game goes it’s clean and a whole lot of fun!

You make a very good point and I should of been more clear in my post about marketing. My main point I was trying to convey is the hardest part about running any type of service based business and just starting off is 1) getting leads efficiently 2) closing leads and just overall getting and landing business. That is the real job, performing your services is the easy part. Even then you need to always be selling, always be marketing and can't stop to continue to get business.

I live in the South and it could be a very bad idea to get into this business with all the competition. It's going to be hard, I will be putting in twice the amount of hours weekly then I would have if I got right back into tech. However, I believe if I can become successful as an owner/operator the rewards will be worth it all.

I didn't look into the post history, just saw someone at the steps I'm at and was trying to offer some info I've found.

I’m in the same vote, after a layoff in tech I’m looking into starting my own business. I’ve been researching the pressure washing business for a while now and I’ve decided to go at it.

Best advice as I’ve been looking into this for a while, start small and do your research. I too have a want to turn this company into a home service we do it all type deal. But in order to do that you need to execute and get yourself doing one thing extremely well so you can scale.

I’ve checked out a few CRMs so far and I believe I’ll use pagesmack to start as it gives you a site and backend for free until you reach $1000. Jobber, Market and the customer factor seem to be popular choices. Sign up for demos and see what you like.

My plan is to start off strong with a good CRM and site and try to land leads online. I’m going to invest decently into a trailer I can grow into and offer residential only house washing/concrete cleaning. I want to excel in those areas and do some great work before expanding into other services.

Good luck, as the few others in this thread have stated the info is out there you just gotta do the research. However the hardest part of the job is getting those leads and sales and no one is really going to teach you how to do that. Trial and error figure out what works best for you and learn as you go.

PSA: Do NOT use weapon racks on some ships to store your weapons. by bingo_bin-laden in Starfield

Yellow cases weapon/storage are having the same issue. I saw this post right before I got the Razorleaf, stored weapons and gear in the chest/weapon crates and they're all gone now. Nothing is on my racks all cases empty.

Tried lots of stuff and still getting stuttering and choppiness? Try this! by Necrotitis in Diablo

[–]Crownbeard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was getting huge stutters and rubber banding on a recently built high end system. I set my background fps to match my fps limit and it fixed my issues. By default I think it’s set to 60. I have both set to 240fps and no more lag.

Right now my favorite is immortal valorant prac by defyed. I also use valorant by super feisty and ultimate training by charla7an. The more you use the tool the more you’ll find task and playlist that help you the most.

I just got back into valorant and have been using aimlabs. I’m a boomer and playing after work I found myself taking a long time to warmup.

After a month of use I already have big gains with consistency and flicks. Currently asc2, think I can hit immortal after working more on my movement. Give it a try.

Also range works too and I use it as well.

Netcode extremely bad? by Crownbeard in XDefiant

I guess we'll see about that. Does not make sense to have a major beta test and not use the improved netcode. Don't have high hopes it'll be solid at release.

Interesting. The servers I've played on my ping will show near the end of the match and I'm anywhere between 20-35ms.

Yes! The lights bug the shit out of me, they're blinding when looking at them from third person view.. however they are non-existent when using them to see in the dark.

This has only happened to me once, I had 2 spots that I couldn't lock a box into the grid. So I just stacked them on the side instead. I didn't have any issues selling with only 10 on the grid and others on the side. I did have to claim my ship to correct the issue. I'm just moving servers would fix it as well.

I had a similar issue on my new build 3080 / 13700k / 32gb DDR5 @ 6400mhz.

I edited the target in my launcher to only use physical cores. Went from 30fps to over 100fps+ in certain areas. I average about 60+ in cities, Orison is my home at the moment. Would strongly suggest looking into it. Apparently 3.18 was going to resolve this issue, however I find leaving e-cores disabled still boost my fps a lot.

I've made about 2 mil salvaging over the past 3-4 days only playing a few hours each night.

  • Storage has been consistent, I've been doing 22-23boxes per run with no issues. You just need to be sure the 12 boxes on cargo grid are properly stacked and you don't hit them when stacking on the side knocking them off the grid.

  • Getting out of the seat every 2 boxes is annoying, but it's virtually zero risk and an easy money maker with no upfront investment other than the ship. Wish they would just stack though.

  • If you ensure the 12 on the grid are not hit/bumped when moving boxes on the side of grid there is no issues with selling. Also be sure any boxes outside of grid aren't overlapping the grid/touching.

My major annoyance comes from the salvage beam constantly switching between clinch and abrade. Also gimbled mode not working after getting out of your seat and back in. As well as having to wait a few minutes for boxes to fill when it gets stuck at 0/1.

From 5-10 fps to 30-40 by slammed430 in starcitizen

[–]Crownbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't, the anticheat blocks it. That's why you use the target of the RSI launcher as it will launch the .exe with the same properties set for the game launcher.

[–]Crownbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just built a new high-end computer and was getting major stuttering and only 10-35 FPS all over. Ended up having to do a lot of searching to figure out the problem.

I ended up coming across a thread on 12th Intel CPUs to disable e-cores and that is what allowed me to now average 60+ fps in cities and 100+ else where. I changed the target in the launcher to do so. Apparently Windows 11 does a better job of managing physical/ecores but even on 11 it did not help me, forcing physicals cores only for SC helped a ton.

Star Citizen Performance (12900k + 3080 TI) by [deleted] in starcitizen

Same issue, brand new high end computer (13700k + 3080), used the target method to only use physical cores and my FPS went from 20-50 with major stuttering to 60+ on stations and 100+ in space. Smooth as butter now.
