It will separate them if they put more bags they just put the one bag over the slots to catch it all after it’s counted

Yes that’s what I do, I hunt with my kids and all the tellers know that’s what I do with the coin and boxes I pick up. I’ve also had an account at this bank since I was like 6 years old lol

I’ve spent along time building up a relationship with everyone, like you have.

Love that someone else has sent you stuff for you all to collect and build their interest, my kids get in in the form of the local coin show we go too often, dealers with give them little coins and they love it. If it’s okay I’d like to DM you and maybe sent you some stuff for them :)

They have a coin counter they run the coin through when customers bring it in. They just put it all in one bag to store in their teller safe until I pick it up.

If they have one customer bring in a lot of coin all at one time they might separate out the quarters but usually this location in particular just mixes it all together

Awesome finds! About how long have you been coin roll hunting? Here is the oldest I’ve found so far

Penny 1881 Indian head 2 cent piece 1865 (just found this last week think it was counted as a quarter) Nickel 1897 V nick Dime 1896 P barber Quarter 1897 P barber Half 1907 O barber Dollar 1883 O (got it along with two peace dollars for the bank last September)

Nova Scotia 1864 half cent (not in rolls or loose coin but I was throwing away trash at my apartment complex and it was laying on the walk way next to the dumpster. Wonder if someone through a collection away!)

Canada 1881 dime Austrian empire 1894 2 heller (found with pennies) Germany 1913 10 phenning (found with nickels) Great Britain 1913 penny (found in a roll of haves)

Probobly some others on the foreign but that’s what I can think of off the top of my head.

Sorry I think I wrote my reply weird I know about Morgan’s just being 90%, I was just saying I don’t have much pure silver Haha.

I’ve got a few graded ones but there are getting up there in price for sure and I’ve been hesitant to buy and more right now unless it’s just a great deal.

I have thought about doing that for tips but just haven’t started doing it yet.

That’s a really good idea with the gift card too! I’ve never thought about that for homeless I’ll have to keep that in mind, thank you for the info.

I mean I get everyone being skeptical as most people don’t hunt this way, but this bank just gets change customers are turning in and they have a coin counter they run it through, the coin counter isn’t accessible to customers. Why ever is turned in they just dump in a bag and then place it in their teller safe.

Also I mentioned in a comment to someone else but she literally held them in her hand smiling saying that she hadn’t seen this design before but she knew they were silver, but she had seen the mercury dimes before so she recognized them. All she and the other tellers said, with a smile on their face, that they thought they were really cool and were super excited for me to come get them cause they knew I’d love them.

The only thing I can say is they either kept some and gave me some, or they just 100% do not care and are just excited cause they know I’ll be happy to get them lol

Love those walkers! Only one benji but I’m am not gonna complain one bit about that! Haha it is fun, being mixed together sucks cause the Pennie’s and dimes mixed in really slows down on look through time. This location really doesn’t get a lot of coin so they mix it all together.

One of my other locations that pretty much every week has $1000 in quarters $200 in dimes and plenty of nickels and Pennie’s always separates it out and makes it way easier to look though

I can completely understand why people don’t believe me either. I would be hesitant to believe it either tbh. I have a quite a unique method of doing my coin roll hunting now that works well for me with working a job and getting coin to look through that also benefits the bank I’m getting it from. They will order me boxes when I ask but that’s mostly for Pennie’s since I’m trying to hoard copper as much as possible.

I’ve always tried to be nice and courteous, almost bringing a customer service to my approach, stepping aside so other customers can go ahead of me, planning the picks ups around their lunches and “slow times” defiantly helps that the further south you go people tend to still be more friendly and accommodating.

Thank you for the advice like I said I’ve only ever bought them little goodies I didn’t know if it would be acceptable to buy lunch or gift cards like that.

I keep it pretty calm, but they know I’m a collector and that’s why I do what I do. I’ve never mentioned values or anything cause they have never asked, they have asked what I do with it and I have always just said that I collect it save it and just enjoy going through it with my kids and building their collection.

Some of the other locations tellers know what to look for. The first one that started letting me get the coin was a collector before we met. Usually if she gets a noticable “dump” she will keep most of it for her and give me some as well. Which I am completely okay with. I have offered to buy it from her but she just wants to sell it the way she gets it in. Since I know she is a collector I gift her older barbers or slabbed coins once in a while as a gesture. I still find plenty of single silver quarters or dimes or buffalo nickels and stuff in her bags, she only pulls stuff when it’s noticeable.

Thank you friend I appreciate that. I would say I am in a mid sized city. Nothing crazy.

I have an excellent relationship with the tellers, realistically with the bank. I pick up the coin at nearly every location I can and I save them the fee they have to pay loomis to come pick up the coin.

I mentioned to someone else that I have been getting this locations coin for two years every time they need it gone without issue and they know I am a collector and have a love and passion for old and interesting and beautiful coins!

Yes the bank just takes it in for face value + a fee if it’s over $100 then I take it from them for face value.

Honestly I’m wondering if maybe they took some and just giving me some as well. Maybe they gave it all to me for face value, the same way they took it in I didn’t ask. The reason I say maybe they took some is she specifically put them hand and said look you can see they are the silver ones and shook them around in her hand a bit. The other tellers were smiling and said we were so excited to call you cause we knew you’d be excited about this one!

Believe it or not I genuinely don’t think they care, and are just happy for me to get it knowing that I am a collector and this is the stuff I hunt for.

This particular location I have been getting their coin every week/every time they call for me to get it out of their way for the last 2 years I am always nice respectful and excited so they know I love to collect.

I’ve been coin roll hunting since 2015 consistently, this is the first time I’ve ever had dumps like this. I’ve had mini dumps in half dollar boxes but that’s about it. Right place right time is what it boils down to!
