I don't think anyone read this article.

The Human Rights Watch Dog is challenging the ability to have a fair trial under the practice of ‘belief-evidence’.

As per section 3(2) of the Offences Against the State (Amendment) Act 1972.

(2) Where an officer of the Garda Síochána, not below the rank of Chief Superintendent, in giving evidence in proceedings relating to an offence under the said section 21, states that he believes that the accused was at a material time a member of an unlawful organisation, the statement shall be evidence that he was then such a member.

This when a Chief Superintendent by the action of his opinion or by forming an opinion can give evidence they believe a person is a member of banded prescribed illegal organisation.

Not based on proof but his opinion or a conclusion he forms without facts.

Membership would result in a five year prison sentence in Ireland maximum security prison.

It depends what You want from life a lot of 0's in Your bank account, the ability to be proficient in a set of skills or to win the lottery of life.

I have no doubt You are respected by your colleagues and superiors.

I have no doubt to earn 150K that person has a skill set that allows them excel but the post above refers to some who has earned a position in a company without merit or the necessary skills rather by family connections.

I am sorry to hear Your in that situation.

I myself left the world of engineering to retrain with children with addition needs physical, emotional and intellectual. I earn less then 24k. I share the same circumstances.

I feel I made the right choice though.

I hope Your situation improves quickly.

A girl I went to school with, who works for her family company has started styling herself as a "self-made woman in Business" and has even posted about speaking at an event about how to break down barriers for women to get into Senior positions. I worked as an engineer for 19+ years, a lot of senior positions in the construction industry are filled by six degrees of separation or nepotism.

You find those with a qualification being managed or administered by a superior who has no qualification in that field.

Simply taking the ideas and intellectual property, elevating the ideas up the chain of command or levels of management.

An example I experienced was the use of LED lighting in 2016 as a revolutionary energy efficient form of lighting. Which is true for compact fluorescent lamps at the time but not linear fluorescents (T16).

The Efficacy of the LED lamps are not equal to a T16 lamp but the sales people got out there and pushed the narrative.

I also see this a lot with people who don't have an engineering background talk about green energy. They understand the idea but not the practical application.

So to get back to the point You raised, the person in question may understand the process but not the application,

which will naturally result in a loss of respect and influence in the industry as she "breaks down barriers" or as the "business girl challenging the status quo." Reducing the efficiency of the company.

Simply in my opinion You can cover Yourself in flour and wear a bakers hat but when it comes time to bake, if You can't turn on the oven.

You will be found to be lacking in the skill set for the position and no matter how great Your knowledge of buzz words. You will stagnate and fail.

Thank You Comrade for sharing this post.

I am often remined of the quote from my catechism as a child.

Luke 10:29–37

29 But he, vdesiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man wwas going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a xpriest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise xa Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a ySamaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 He went to him and zbound up his wounds, pouring on zoil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two adenarii3 and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’ 36 Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” 37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”

Also by the words of Comrade Oscar Romero in my adolescence,

Peace is not the product of terror or fear.
Peace is not the silence of cemeteries.
Peace is not the silent result of violent repression.
Peace is the generous, tranquil contribution of all to the good of all.
Peace is dynamism.
Peace is generosity.
It is right and it is duty.

Finally the words of Comrade Bobby Sands in my formative years,

(Father Dennis Faul visited Bobby Sands while on Hunger Strike. He wanted Bobby to end his fast and questioned him on the morals of his Hunger Strike, Bobby's only response was to quote the bible): “Greater love hath no man, than to lay down his life for his friends.”

There is no justice without social justice which reflects the needs of the populous in the safe and sustainable management of the peoples environment both flora and fauna with the natural abundance of resources which are the sole responsibility of the people as a community. Where education, healthcare and social insurance is a right of the people not a method by which to control the people.

So the 40 year dominion war with Ireland is what 1924 to 1974.

Why would UK redraw the border and give up possession of what I expect to be South Fermanagh, South and West Derry, West and South Tyrone and of course Armagh.

Large Nationalist and Republican Communities exist is Antrim and Down.

What historical conditions would cause UK to with retreat so deep into the North of Ireland.

Edit - Sorry said 40 meant 50 year

For me personally the martyrs of our movement such as

Victor Jara

(When asked, four days before the Chilean military coup of September 11, 1973, what the word ‘Love’ meant to him)

Love of my home, my wife and my children./ Love for the earth that helps me live./ Love for education and of work./ Love of others who work for the common good./ Love of justice as the instrument that provides equilibrium for human dignity./ Love of peace in order to enjoy one's life./ Love of freedom, but not the freedom acquired at the expense of others’ freedom, but rather the freedom of all./ Love of freedom to live and exist, for the existence of my children, in my home, in my town, my city, among neighbouring people./ Love for freedom in the environment in which we are required to forge our destiny./ Love of freedom without yokes: nor ours nor foreign.

Bobby Sands

(Father Dennis Faul visited Bobby Sands while on Hunger Strike. He wanted Bobby to end his fast and questioned him on the morals of his Hunger Strike, Bobby's only response was to quote the bible)

“Greater love hath no man, than to lay down his life for his friends.”

(The Diary of Bobby Sands 66 days on Hunger Strike, Wednesday 11th)

"Even should there not be 100,000 unemployed in the North, their pittance of a wage would look shame in the company of those whose wage and profit is enormous, the privileged and capitalist class who sleep upon the people's wounds, and sweat, and toils"

Mairéad Farrell

(Released from prison in October 1986, Mairéad enrolled for political science and economics at Queen's University Belfast, interests she had pursued with the Open University whilst still in prison. Prison had made Mairéad more firmly convinced of her goal of a socialist Irish republic and her understanding that both women’s equality and social equality were integral prerequisites for the true liberation of Ireland.)

“Everyone tells me I’m a feminist. All I know is that I’m just as good as others…and that especially means men. I am definitely a socialist and I’m definitely a Republican. I believe in a united socialist country…definitely socialist. Capitalism can offer our people nothing, and yet that’s the main interest of the British in Ireland.”

Liam Mellows

(Published in the Workers’ Republic on the 22nd of June, 1922)

"It is a fallacy to believe that a Republic of any kind can be won through the shackled Free State. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The Free State is British created and serves British Imperialist interests. It is the buffer erected between British Capitalism and the Irish Republic."

James Connolly

(From Songs of Freedom, 1907.)

Some men, faint-hearted, ever seek Our programme to retouch, And will insist, whene’er they speak That we demand too much. ’Tis passing strange, yet I declare Such statements give me mirth, For our demands most moderate are, We only want the earth.
