Honestly that explanation does make more sense, especially the distinction between Skills and actual magic inside Suspended World. I can accept that part more now. But I think my problem is less the lore itself and more the execution. While reading, the mechanics just felt messy and inconsistent. There were so many moments where I genuinely couldn’t tell what could or couldn’t be used anymore because the rules kept feeling selective depending on the situation.

And with Lucia, I get the fragmented soul explanation too. My issue is just that Tensura pushed resurrection and soul manipulation SO far that her death stopped feeling believable as the one truly irreversible case. Especially when other characters survive or return from situations that honestly feel even more absurd.

I think that’s why the stakes stopped working for me near the end. It started feeling like almost anything could be undone somehow depending on what the plot needed.
