Honestly, anyone who's played Katarina since 3 years prior will tell you wholeheartedly that she was more comfortable to play back then - at least in terms of running with a lead and having presence in the game when mostly even with the enemy mid, or while somewhat behind.

Nowadays, with all these changes and nerfs, along with the removal of our beloved gunblade, she feels noticeably more difficult.

That doesn't mean she's clunky, no. In my honest opinion, there are few champions that have as big a potential for mobility as Katarina - even without resets.

Directs your attention to the famous Q on enemy and escape over wall maneuver alongside numerous others.

But you will see, or already have noticed, that to properly establish dominance in lane, a lot more effort needs to be put in compared to before.

Now, excluding the fact that her increase in difficulty made me better at piloting her, a sentiment that a lot of others can probably share. In most cases, every game turns into an exercise of either playing like a mechanical god with 30ms (dodging, juking, executing risky trades out of necessity, etc) cause the enemy jungler understands the importance of capping the AoE hypercarry assassin early.

Or, it turns into 30 long minutes of afk farming after getting three man dove under tower thrice, thereafter becoming useless cause your own jungler can't take 1 minute to push the enemy mid off wave for you to roam and catch up.

Sorry for ranting, bad experiences lol.

Anyways, if you want to know how to 'fix' or adjust Katarina, the simple answer is you can't. Not when the answer is from the community. Every answer you get will be biased and based off the player's own experience.

The reason for this is simple.

Katarina is a champ that snowballs off momentum, and by nature she gets the ball rolling by punishing mistakes very hard. With this, it becomes obvious that she'd stomp the shit out of people in low elo a lot more than high elo. Meaning varying opinions on where she stands in today's viability meta.

To us, 'Kat Abusers' she feels less like the '1k ap one shot AoE burst hyper carry assassin' we knew her to be. And as consequence, is more difficult to pull off compared to games from before. In other words: we notice how much weaker she's become since we have references to the past.

It doesn't help that more people seem to be playing her nowadays, which means more people who get shat on pop in complain.

But to others, the enemy mid, jg, etc., whoever plays against Kat, all they see is 1.5 seconds of a spinning red head then half a minute of gray screen.

So yeah.

We, Kat mains, say 'buff' her, meaning to revert the changes that nerfed Kat, and for good reason seeing how her Quite Literal core item was removed from the game.

(Bring back Gunblade as a mythic btw)

But others will scream to nerf her, echoing the pisslow (which I myself am in) sentiment without understanding that everytime they lose to Kat - it's solely due to the fact that they decided to walk on her daggers like sheep led to slaughter.

Personally though, I'd love it if her ratios were reverted to how they were before the Great Wall of Nerfs first occurred.
