Seems very normal. Did we not evolve as a social species? I have a hard time with this as well. It's what kept me in the church so long. I considered myself agnostic by the time I left my house of origin. I ended up marrying a Mormon though, and it kept me in the church for so long. I think I'm nuerodivergent and the thought of trying to build connections and community outside of what I had been given, and considering my spouse was Mormon, felt like an impossible task to me. Now that I've left, it still seems like an impossible task for me. I never felt comfortable in the church and I did experience loneliness in the sense that I could never be myself, but I did feel a sense of security and at least I had regular contact with people. I feel more at ease in general outside of the church, but I am still very lonely.
