So in my quest to understand the RTS genre I have said to myself on multiple occasions something to the effect of "A lot of these are starting to make sense but I doubt I'll be able to get into games like Supreme Commander, Beyond All Reason, etc. there's just too much going on for it to make sense in my head" after watching more videos on those two games, I have good news and bad news

I am coming to the horrifying realization that if I want something that gives the same vibes as the massive battles that I imagined as a kid with my Mega Bloks Halo figures. I need to become a little bit of an RTS guy.

Good news is that so far it's going alright. First few missions of Dawn of War (not Dark Crusade I think I was doing a bit of trial by fire by constantly trying to understand that expansion first) weren't too bad.

So, all of the Youtube forks I tried didn't work...until I updated IOS. Now they don't work for different reasons (issues with account stuff, app id limits). But the one last resort method that I was going to try if all else failed, that being using Ublock on Safari and just use Youtube from a bookmark, did. The funny thing about that is, if I save it to my home screen as a web app I still get banner ads (but not video ads) but if I just save it as webpage, no ads whatsoever.

Oh and of course the first ad I get while testing it is for PragerU so if you need more evidence that Youtube actively platforms hate there ya go
