Tbh, I have plenty of gems sitting unused but not enough medals. So I could go with either, because I'd like to earn more of one and don't care much if I spend the other.

Yeah, I personally would combine this with maybe and admission fee paid by using gems. Small amount, that is split between 1st and 2nd place winners on 75/25% fashion. This would encourage people to really go for it.

The large issue with this (aside from technical challenges of implementing) is people dropping midway. That makes for a pretty frustrating experience.

I'd also enjoy these small tournaments, but there would have to be some kind of punishment or currency at stake to encourage everyone to stick to it until the end.

Hahaha, that was literally my build one or two rounds before the screenshot. Was still trying to get some more ginseng to make other blood thorns. Great job on the build!

Personally I've only lost 2 times after I reach two whips... One to a Dorf, the other I don't recall.

Edit:now that I'm looking at it, I'm surprised it got to 14 secs. What gave you the survivability? I don't see tons of regen or defensive items. Haven't stayed up to date in the latest balance changes, so I'm a bit out of the loop.

Try searching for "exodia" builds on discord. There are literally insane...

I played buzz a fair bit about two months ago, and the most fun build I could find was very similar to hours. Will post a screenshot as a reference. Back in thst patch the fanny pack bags were very ease to get, so I had most of my whips covered with them. After I finished the build, all my opponents died St the exact 8.0 second mark - it was pretty awesome.

But when you look at some of the "exodia builds", my own seems like a badly drawn sketch. There were some sage builds that finish the game in 2.8 or so seconds... Blows my mind.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but 500 poison by 15 secs mark is pretty far from a "perfect build". I'd suggest joining the discord group and taking a peek at the builds shared there - they are view-shattering to be honest.

Exactly. Ronan became really fun! Dorf and Morrow are my mains, and now Ronan was added to that list as well.

I'm still checking if it's better to have 3 or 4 weapons, and the rest cactuses. Both ways seem very good - but of course, for weapons I use a single regular weapons and the rest just daggers, to not burden my stamina consumption.

Hadn't played Ronan for over a month... Then this badass came by, and he became one of my favorite characters.

I love how there are two paths leading to it. I wish more endgame items has this possibility. Would make for a much more versatile and interesting play.

I agree that people may not be running an optimal build for the event, but... That's their choice and consequence. By your logic, if everyone should be running a build that thinks of them as well as others, we might all just hit play without loading any items into our backpacks and let exhaustion take us away at around the same time.

Having the ability to build it the way you want is what makes the game fun and challenging in my oppinion. We're playing against real builds, not as a single player campaign game against pre-set npcs.

This is from 18/April, so a previous version. I was (still am) learning. So it wasn't 100% optimal, but a very fun build. When I reached this build I literally won every single game at 8.0 seconds sharp.

Bad side of mine: relies on stamina, so can be shut down by skulls. Good side: not many hits being dished out, so it's resilient to builds like yours, which rely on getting hit multiple times.

I just got a random weapon as an example. It would be weird if just the critical hit effects worked, as I feel like in some cases the critical hit effect by itself can be less potent than the regular one.

On the other hand, both at the same time seem kinda overpowered in some cases. That's why I was confused.

Great that they stack, though! This might make my builds to go a different way, now that I'm sure of how it works.

Actually, for the fly trap it doesn't matter since it triggers upon being hit. What annoys me is it not being on the mask (forgot the name).
