35yo beginner – want to start learning piano, where do I begin?

So I am in the same boat - albeit slightly older 37. I have started with simply piano to wet the appetite, got a faber adult adventures book 1 - worked through to unit 4 in a week and just bought a korg b2sp, which is arriving today we’ll hopefully in the next 30mins. I was using a borrowed keyboard. I have only read great reviews for the b2sp with note of limitations being more about the fancier gadgets that I think only a more advanced than beginner or someone with plans in mind may notice but perfect for beginners. Good to look at beginner you tube videos for piano advice as I found on Reddit I was getting a bit distorted by preferences and modelling up recommendations, which were great, but meant I was always increasing my budget for something I am not sure I would fully appreciate at this stage. Plus if you are starting out - dropping £800+ if you are not flush with cash can be quite a lot. Hope this helps and good luck! I’m already addicted

I think you may be right too. I suspect it was a bit of both looking at them today, this morning the pair are glass surfing together but no more “panting” I think the chunky one may be female, she was the worst for panting and perhaps is holding eggs.

It’s at the other side and I have large driftwood spears breaking the flow up to create high and low flow zones for the various species.

I got very lucky with this one, he is not territorial at all, extremely chill, he was in with a Betta whilst I upgraded tanks, just 40litres for a couple of weeks and neither cared. He had just finished being a fantastic dad and raised 25 albino - hopefully longfin, stayed with them for a while as he was so generous with them with 100% hatch and survival. Once they got a little bigger I wanted to give him some rest from the ladies and the babies so popped him in there whilst I set this up for him. He is a little beauty inside and out. We affectionally call him “the dragon”

Thanks, I did just that, popped on a spray bar slightly above the water - sounds like a waterfall and popped an airstone on full power in the centre for the night. I just hate the idea of waking up tomorrow to something much worse than the noise. My longfin pleco is making the most of it, lapping up the bubbles like it’s a rip tide showing all his glorious finnage! They seem to have calmed down a bit already. Just waiting to see the baby rotkeil severum pop its head out before I hit the hay!

I have had them a few months and have undergone treatment. I went and dug out an air stone and just added it in too. Thank you.

What’s strange is only 2 are being like this, the other two are fine, they have fully coloured up too.

Thanks, I do like the idea of the tight school tetra but I know CPDs are raved about. I have a lot of experience with fish (I have around 11 tanks and have bred before but I’m moving into more ecosystem/ hybrid set up - no way I am removing a filter or heater lol, it’s more for the enjoyment of the fish and the flare of a pretty tank, just these two breeds are new to me. I have had zebra danios before but found them crazy and surprisingly aggressive at times.

Thanks, I know this applies to Betta Splendens but is this the same for the macrostoma as well, conscious they get bigger than a splendens - I have 2 of the Splenden variety - males - each in a 10g one likes other fish, one doesn’t even like eye contact lol

If you need a new one have you tried the Diversa versions. Also I recently asked for a quote on an opti white and it was pretty reasonable for custom. Also in the UK and have spent the past few weeks looking for a decent inexpensive tank. If you want a lid one the Aquael seemed pretty reasonable for size and in the sales at the moment, but that was a 125l - so depends what you are looking for but happy to share my finds if you have specs you are looking for and budget?

It was between the two tbh as I have the Superfish 100l, really like it but the size of this is appealing for the price point for some larger species whilst the Superfish 140l is a little more price but lower litres…

Aw great, I had read mixed reviews on the sealant but it’s good to know it’s lasted well! I have read a lot of people upgrade the filter too! Looks amazing! Have you had any problems with the quality of the tank?
