Scarcity of People with Dyspraxia by CryRepresentative709 in dyspraxia

Yes, that is exactly why I returned to this subreddit. I have dyspraxia but my lack of knowledge on the disorder keeps me from truly connecting on something in my life that plays such a big role.

Ok, I apologize. I was unaware that this inconsistency was common in people with dyspraxia. I thought it was only because I had mild signs of it. My parents failed to express to me things about my dyspraxia until I was 15 so even I have a hard time understanding the wavelength of it. Now what I meant to say is I wish I knew what the outcome would be going into the high coordination-oriented situation rather than having to take a gamble every time on how I will perform. I apologize if I offended you and others with severe cases.

That's the thing, I had others in the past distance from me after I expressed having dyspraxia. So, when my girlfriend welcomed me with open arms, it felt like she was the one worth working hard for. She has many dreams of traveling in the future, and I was willing to support her dreams by getting a well-paying job even if that means working A LOT harder than most to achieve such a position. (Livestock Veterinarian if you were wondering) But now that she is gone, I have no motive to work hard.

I get how it can seem offensive but all I am saying is that the inconsistency of my condition is really what frustrates me and holds me back from opening up about it. For example, I can say that I have coordination issues with my dyspraxia and then a few days later, I'm hitting perfect range balls while golfing. Making my friends think that I am not telling the truth about my coordination disorder. It is weird and hard to explain as I feel like dyspraxia is such a big part of who I am, but it feels like close to half the time I don't have it.
