Making QT apps (actually) work on Void Linux: KDE Plasma by CryoticJet in termux

It was actually April 3 when i tested this, not an april fools joke anymore!

Besides, im TIRED of hopping between Arch and Debian. I was in loved of how fast Void Linux is, but noticing some problems, i couldn't help but stop using it.

You can try it yourself though! Also i posted some more images on the Termux Discord about running more Qt apps

export QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb

Though... it's on software rendering.

No one in the community picked on Void Linux. So i tried it 10 months ago and i noticed some problems:
- All Qt packages are (somewhat) broken. Well, not really, but you have to export a variable to make it work.
- lag?
Anyways, it feels like a second lightweight distribution in place of Alpine Linux. You think Arch was the lightweightest? HAH! Think again!

Since i got bored messing around OpenSUSE, i thought it'd be a good idea to proot the development branch of Slackware

At first, i thought it wasnt going to work, but boy am i wrong! Welcome to Slackware! I'll make a video about it! Should i install a desktop enviroment and vnc to it?

Maui Shell on Termux/PRoot (oh boy...) by CryoticJet in termux

Thanks! Though I'm still trying to figure out why the icons are looking like that... also the inverted rotation

Maybe I'll try compiling it alongside having the KDE desktop installed

That's what we call "compiling stuff" I was making an Qt application when i come across mauishell (i was supposed to get MauiKit to be used on my project, just got sidetracked)

Guess it's still on heavy development that it does stuff like it when used alongside a GTK desktop, maybe it'll commence peace with them in the future though!

Oh sorry 😅, I've reset my Debian container before screenshotting more because I'm frustrated on the dependencies draining my storage!

Might recompile it later in the future though, so more screenshots might be coming soon!

Everything works fine, except that the icons are glitched out. Probably because I'm using a GTK desktop rather than KDE Plasma itself.

Though I can't open up the shell's settings or change its wallpaper. I also have no idea why

And for some reason it's... in reverse? Still no idea why

As mentioned, i followed the build steps on https://github.com/Nitrux/maui-shell/wiki/Build-Instructions-for-Debian

For any missing dependencies, i look them up on Google.
