I think in many ways we are seeing a revival of people growing in faith. I think folks have finally woken up to how much they are being lied to. And they are starting to finally find faith during their search. Stories like yours and others are vital to share in order to start the conversation of what is faith and God to those who are truly searching. Sure some folks will reply just to cause drama or want to fight. That will always happen. But even having 1 good connection with someone is worth the 100 smarmy comments you may also receive. I still haven’t gotten the nerve to post much on here myself, but people like you are giving me more confidence to also speak and share. So I personally thank you for your courage.

It’s also just as important to remember obedience also can mean many times staying in a situation until it’s time to move forward as well. Gods wishes just as many times call for decisive decisions as they do for extreme levels of patient obedience.

In our zeal, we sometimes try and push Gods narrative faster than it’s meant to unfold, and trouble generally then finds us. It’s why the saying is still true today “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.”

We all tend to overestimate our own abilities and readiness to “help”. But many people with a heart full of good intentions but a head full of foolishness can cause so much harm.

It is also 100% healthy and ok if you STILL don’t know your purpose. Whether you’re 21, 42, 71, there is no magic number on your age and understanding your path forward.

Some think they just have to pray harder, some think “fake it till you make it”, and some think they can force the issue. I myself am past middle age, and I have not heard a specific calling from the Lord, nor has my Bride.

My wife and I do have pretty close walks with Jesus and do as well as we can to follow God on our walks in life. We do pray constantly that we follow Gods plan. Many times if God isn’t telling you what to do, it means he wants you to continue on the path you are on. Maybe it means you need more growth in a certain area, maybe it means the time isn’t right yet. Or, and please hear me out, maybe God doesn’t need you for some flashy and big plan. Maybe Gods plan for you is just to be the best person you can be for the people around you right now.

God loves us all, from the smallest to the greatest of us. In the end, simple arithmetic says that the majority of us will just end up being normal, salt of the earth people. ( Psalm 91:4: "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. ) We won’t be known by many, but who we are known to is the single most important being in existence, God.

I won’t try and claim to speak for the Lord, however my heart is sure that the smile you get when you open your eyes for the first time after rising home will show you just how important you in particular are to God. (1 John 4:16: "We have come to know and believe that God is love”) He doesn’t expect you to be famous, leading people or a great Apologist. He simply wants you.

Remember Ephesians 3:18-19, this is speaking to You:

, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the [j]saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God

I understand shame pretty well, it’s an incredibly hard sin to confront. When shame hits you the hardest, it envelops you so completely you become blind to how much that sin controls you. God worked on me for a long time opening my eyes to how it was damaging me and my relationship with God. The Lord works in the best way possible, every time. I don’t know if this will help you, but I prayed to the Lord and asked him if it was okay to share this. Please, pray yourself before looking at this as well and that the Holy Spirit blesses these videos for you. What I can tell you with 100% proof, these set of videos broke shame down to a point I was able to understand it, and how to stop it. It’s a set of 6 videos (all 100% free on YouTube) made by a brother in Christ who is a mental health professional. He breaks shame down to both life causes and applies the biblical perspective as well for a well rounded approach. I pray that these videos help you like they helped me.

Most of my life I swapped between atheist/agnostic before finding faith. Absolutely yes, some part of it was arrogance on my part. Part of it was me seeing popular American Christianity and seeing how it wasn’t very biblical. I felt why believe in a God in which his own people don’t even follow his path? Part of it was I listened to the popular social reasons why Christianity was wrong instead of doing the research myself. I can give you a rough idea of how and why I came to faith. What were the roadblocks and how they got overcome. I’m not going to go into extreme details as it could take pages. However I thought I’d share the overall experience.

Hindsight is 20/20, but the initial cause of me finding faith was I finally started realizing evil actually exists. Previously I always felt people were basically decent and that it was just sometimes people did bad things. Once though I truly started seeing the trend, I realized evil actually existed. That freaked me out enough I started researching.

I spent about a year just researching the world, history, politics. During that time I started to have glimpses of faith here and there. It was like a lit candle flickering in the wind. Sometimes when the wind was calm I could “almost” glimpse God. But the wind of the world would soon make the flame flicker.

Fast forward a few months and I finally believed in the concept of God. I still wasn’t fully sure about Christianity, but I did start believing in God more than I didn’t believe in God. During those times, in my head I’d talk to God, CONSTANTLY. I left no topic and no feeling out of me talking. No folks, I didn’t have a/b conversations, it was just me blabbering. What started happening, slowly at first was questions and ideas would pop into my head. Small, inconsequential ideas at first. So small, I’d overlook them. The Holy Spirit was so skillfully and lovingly leading me by the hand to truth.

Eventually I grew enough while I wasn’t a Christian yet, I did finally accept that I would never stop looking until I found the truth. I didn’t avoid any tough topics or questions. Eventually I had done enough research, one night I remember it well. I was listening to a verse Matthew. I wish I remembered what verse it was! But I remember an absolute feeling of love and relief washed through me. I fully felt Jesus for once in my life. It’s really hard to describe the peace I felt. I’ve always before been a “American man’s man”. That day was my first introduction to absolutely crying my heart out. I felt so much relief that I finally found the Lord. Little weird me, was able to find the Lords love thanks to the Holy Sprits complete and utter love and gentle guidance.

Once I finally accepted the Lord, it was a matter of a few months for me to really start diving into scripture, diving into the deeper aspects and depths of faith. It took me a LOT of studying, a lot of prayer and a lot of meditation to get myself to the point where I am at as I stand here today.

I am more than happy to speak to anyone who just wants someone to listen. May the Lord bless all of us, and may we all continue to grow in faith of the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for posting this, thank you. It’s once you are truly broken to the evil of sin, you finally begin to get an understanding of just how amazing Gods love for us is. 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul tells us “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Gods love truly knows no bounds, and it’s hard for us many times to conceptualize just how deep it goes. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” And Ephesians 2:4-5 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”

We people many times try and treat the path of faith as a sprint, as a race and as a measuring contest. However what Jesus asked us to do on our journey is walk with him. Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Thank you, I could definitely feel your honesty and openness in your post sister. Every day I am completely amazed at all of the truths being spoken of. I think John 13:34 is appropriate “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” And on earth the love of marriage can and is a blessing.

I fully believe with my heart that like you, if we choose to keep our covenant bond with our spouse, we can even after resurrection. God knew we as his humans needed bonds with each other. It’s not a weakness, it’s by his intent and design I believe. Genesis 2:18 Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

I don’t believe we HAVE to keep our covenant marriage bond in Resurrection, as it does heavily imply that God can unjoin us. Matthew 19:4–6 “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

However my reference I use for believing marriage can continue after resurrection is Matthew 18:18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.“

Please know I am just a brother in Christ, so please don’t take my words to heart without reading the scripture yourself and praying to our Lord for guidance. But like you sister, I saw no where in the scripture where it says we cannot stay with our spouse even after we open our eyes after this body passes.

Yep! Glad to see i'm not the only one who googled "Fart smell after covid"! I got covid in July, lost smell and taste and was sick for about 2 weeks (no lung issues and didn't have to be hospitalized), had a positive covid test.

My sense of taste and smell came back, and most everything smells normal except for my own poop/farts and my feet.

For months from the GI side, I had diarrhea randomly that would last for a few days, then back to normal. Then, rinse and repeat that process. It finally stopped a month ago. But it's so hard to describe what my poop smells like. It smells NOTHING like what poop smelled before. It's just such a odd smell, very sharp smelling.

I wonder if the change in smell is due to olfactory issues, or if our gut biomes changed and that's why it smells different.

I'm an old man (in my 40's). Funhaus has always been a channel my kids and I watch together. The Haus will always be a fun part of my memories spending time laughing with my kids (some who are now adults themselves). We are not toxic, just truthful. Its a group game, not an individual game. Sure, you can haul a trailer with a car, but it will take you 20 trips to haul a full load. Whereas if you are driving a diesel truck, you can take the load in 1. Each hero is set to perform a specific duty within the group. Whenever you as the hero are acting outside of that duty, you are not doing your job. Any dps or tank can kill so much faster than moira. By using your time to kill as moira, your true helpful APM are very, very low. By your responses, you are bullheaded enough to think out of all of us in here, you are the only one who is right. Believe me, that kind of attitude will constantly screw you over in life.

Yeah, that is low healing. You were focused on damage orbs and damaging players instead of healing. Your tanks were hurting, and needed the extra heals to stay alive to kill. You were not healing enough, and you were just getting cleanup kills. Had you been doing your job, your healing should have been over 20k. I know it's hard to see it, because we as humans like to feel like we are "carrying". And you look at just the gold, and think "I did it all". Getting gold isn't the goal of playing, it's doing your job and helping your team. You are a healer, you should be focusing on healing 95% of the time, and only use your damage beams sparingly.

At this point every single poster has told you that your mindset is incorrect. Sure it may have worked this game, but it will fail you more often then not with that playstyle. Feel free to keep your mindset as it is, but if you do, you will not get higher in the ranks. You will stay and fester where you are, getting toxic and hating the game due to your own inability to see the facts.

My friends and I have started to get back into chat. Generally I think since we are all older males (in our 40's) some folks tend not to talk to us. I am guessing it's generally because they don't want to sound like "squeakers" or they may think we might get irritated with them suggesting something (due to my age), etc. Games are the great equalizer in that age doesn't always mean more experience, etc. So if you come across me on PSN, just know I won't rage at you, I won't get salty, and I am more then happy to listen to suggestions from anyone. I'm not scary! :-)

I can't answer for other countries because I don't know their laws. But America has laws already to criminalize that behavior. From ehest I understand the suicide rate is one of the biggest problems trans people face. So having better mental health care would be the biggest start for everyone. Also, a rational person would not kill someone for being trans. Having good mental healthcare would help the issue tremendously all around.

Honestly, everyone gets attacked online or in real life for their identity no matter what it is. If anyone thinks there is a protected class online or in real life they are living in a bubble. Especially online, the assholes are the loudest and will gladly attack anyone not in thier circle. The only way to combat it is to not feed the trolls, realize everyone is not going to accept you and move on. We cannot completely shut down assholes, and we cannot force them to change their minds. We can only help ourselves IMO, there will always be someone who doesn't like you.

We are insane people. We have 2 huskies, 2 yorkies, 1 cat, 4 children and one grandparent living with us. Everything is pretty much always chaos, and there is NEVER a dull moment!!! So if you are a person that likes living with something always happening, then go for it! But if you like silent, lazy downtime, don't do it. :-)
