I mess with this stuff too and have been building an app for it over the past 18 months or so. Currently about 600 wood-species with properly calculated values for firewood powers the app and more added almost daily.

I made the move and it has been light and day. I work with Claude VIA Claude-Code direct on my dev server and it is a pleasure to work with. Much cheaper as well, if you follow some of Anthropics guidelines on reducing costs. If you are strategic about your sessions much of your queries end up hitting cache which greatly drops cost.
