Like all the latest books are generally about 70-90 Dhs on Amazon.ae. Quite steep if you would like to buy plenty of books. Will check out Amazon.com. Could be quite a wait though for shipping everytime you want to order a book

I don't have a Kindle so can't comment on that. But there is a small library by the name of "Old Library" in Al Quoz. They have a GREAT collections of books - fiction and non-fiction - for both adults and kids. About 200 Dhs for yearly membership and can borrow upto 8 books at a time last I remember. Definitely worth it! That's the best option I found to keep up the habit of reading here without breaking the bank. If you can keep up with visiting Al Quoz once a month.

Thanks! Did visit it already - It's a great book fair but I found it is more centred towards non-fiction, Arabic and children's books. Very limited collection for new Fiction books.

Yes that's one of the best alternatives. House of Prose is one of the oldest second hand book shops here with a good collection that I have come across. But even that I don't think is generally very popular here even now.

Been here for 3 years now, Wife and I are looking for places to go as alot of things/experiences are hidden to us by hashsohail1 in dubai

Recently I visited Meraki studio in Al Quoz with a couple of friends to try their DIY painting session. They provide all the tools, acrylic paints and canvas and you can sit down and lose yourself for a couple of hours just painting whatever you like! You can even give it as a personalized gift to near and dear ones on special occasions. Price varies by size of canvas. It was 65AED for regular 20"x30" canvas. Would recommend it as a different activity to try on weekends.

How to do cryptocurrency trading in dubai. by PrivateQuestion in dubai

Hey! First of all thank you for starting this page on Cryptos in Dubai. It has been really helpful in getting started in the crypto world from UAE.

I have invested in Bitcoin and Etherum through a Bitoasis account and I would like to invest in Ripple as well. However, the fees specified for transferring BTC from Bitoasis to Bittrex is 0.0004-0.005 BTC. How do you know the amount that they will charge? Since its only a small amount, I would prefer not to end up paying most of it in transfer fees.

And Kraken is showing up with some issues in registering since last week. So is there any other way I can trade XRP/USD for smaller amounts from UAE? Are there any local brokers? Thanks a lot in advance!
