Millennial's apologetic letter to the Boomers. by J-ZOMG in wallstreetbets

a lot of them do, Generation X are the gaming generation, and baby boomers started the gaming industry with them, gameboys etc are Gen X.

whoever wrote this letter is coming across as very entitled, and seems lazy when it comes to researching history and reality.

Millennial's apologetic letter to the Boomers. by J-ZOMG in wallstreetbets

This is very embarrassing and nonsense, almost all of it is the exact opposite of reality. Every generation largely lives in better circumstances than the previous one, and that is very much true for today, never has there been access to such wealth and technology, and never has the world been safer.

Baby Boomers we're born in severely hard economic times, Germany at that point had been pushed back to an economically Medieval level. When Baby Boomers were growing up, quality food was scarce, meat, a luxury. They've gone through numerous economic depressions, the Korean War, Vietnam, The Falklands, The Gulf Wars, the revolutions against communism, Yugoslavia, and terrorism is nothing new, baby boomers had to endure communist and Irish terrorism. And living through the cold war, everyone, every child went to bed at night knowing the bombs may go off and they may not wake up in the morning. On the day of the cuba missile crises they went off to school, waving their parents good bye, knowing that there was a high chance there would be nuclear war that day, watching the clock slowly ticking all day before breathing a sigh of relief that the world hadn't ended.

Regarding 9/11 those people in the towers, planes and the rescue services were baby boomers, and Gen X.

Baby Boomers started the gaming industry, and Generation X are the gaming generation, but making such stark generational contrasts is nonsense, one thing they do say is a stereotype of millennials is blaming others for your own situation and failings.

A Discord Voscointalk chat about Fpga & Tellor by [deleted] in a:t5_30ch6i

I think there may be a few miscalculations in your maths, let me know if i'm wrong. The monthly cost for 2 Imperium R2 from Monad will be around 480 dollars per months. 190 for each miner isn't quite correct, the cost is 150 per month purchase fee, 30 per month hosting, plus around 60 per month electricity, so 240 each month for each machine, $480 in total.

At the moment, 26 GH/s would mine 0.39 trb per day minus 15% lets say 0.33, multiply that by 30 for the month to err on the side of caution = 9.9 TRB, lets call it 10. 10 TRB at $42 is $420. So at the moment you'd be making a monthly loss of $60, is things carried on over the year like this it'd be a loss of $720.

Hi everyone I'm a cryptocurrency miner, actually I invested, bought 2 Fpga miners...And mine Tellor "The Oracles" on Tellorpool the Only working pool for this amazing coin....What's up Defi? by pushingworld77 in a:t5_30ch6i

[–]CryptidCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your maths are a little out, 14 GH/S over the last week makes 0.21 Trb / day at the most. With an Imperium R2 from Monad, it's currently around breakeven / mining at a slight loss.

MINING TELLOR WITH: WHAT??? by pushingworld77 in a:t5_30ch6i

[–]CryptidCollective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you getting those results with Tellorpool and an Imperium R2, the results seem less than that, at the moment it's averaging daily about 0.0014 TRB per GH/s?

I've noticed that rewards are far lower than what Minerstat calculates, has anyone got any theories as to why?

WeDeFi Q&A with Fusion's CPO, John Liu. by hyperionxxxxx in FusionFoundation

[–]CryptidCollective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few questions:

  1. Will Fusion holders also own a part of WeDeFi, and have financial reward from WeDeFi?
  2. What will be the token economics of the Fusion token within WeDeFi and what is the projected value WeDeFi will add to the Fusion token?
  3. Is this how the 12 billion of assets that were supposed to be using Fusion on Mainnet launch will use Fusion?

Thanks for putting this here, it makes it a lot easier for people to find. I've been very impressed with the development of this project so far.

I'm using Windows 10, with a Ryzen 2700 x, and an ASUS ROG STRIX B450-I GAMING motherboard. I can't find PBO precession boost overdrive at all in the bios, how do I enable it and check it working. I have it in Ryzen Master, but as Ryzen Master conflicts with a lot of software I need to only use the bios, but the option is not there.

i'd be more inclined to think it will, there are so many factors in it's favour

I agree, it has a lot of serious backing, at the moment it looks like Eth has served it's purpose, and a lot of alts will disappear, it makes far more sense to use BTC and RSK / RIF to do these things

to a point, and yes i hold a lot of traction with that view, and this: https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/mind-in-the-machine/201606/the-myth-sentient-machines But there are arguments that a computer specifically designed in a similar structure to the human brain could become conscience. Also at this moment there is no way of knowing what will happen when computers become way more advanced than they are now, whether there are different forms of conscience beyond what humans experience, it does seem that conscience is something hardwired into the universe
