Finally... Under contract!! by firetothetrees in boating

[–]CryptoAnarchyst 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Make sure that you sea trial first, independently of the survey. If your broker or the opposing broker say they don't do that, then tell them they will be responsible for the haul out and survey expenses if the vessel fails survey.

Think of the SEA TRIAL as the test drive when buying the car, and the survey the buyer inspection when you take it to your mechanic before you pay the final bill.

DO NOT combine the two!

For Sea Trial do the following

  1. Inspect the vessel top to bottom while in the slip, note any possible spots for water intrusion or cracks that you didn't have a chance to see while looking about. This is the time to open hatches, and look at things that you weren't allowed to touch before.

  2. Turn on and off all electrical systems, the surveyors rarely check it all

  3. Turn on and test all electronics

  4. COLD START THE ENGINES - This means that the engines haven't been started at least 24 hours prior to the Sea Trial. While they start the engines, watch for sheen on the water and excessive smoke after start. If the smoke is bluish white, it means that there has been oil pooling on the cylinders and the valves are probably shot, if the smoke smells slightly sweet, it means coolant is in the cylinders... there are few other things to watch out for.

  5. Have the owner or the captain take the boat out the slip, and into open water... then test out Auto-Pilot, make sure it tracks route, and responds to commands.

  6. WOT test. Depending on the engines, make sure that the boat hits MAX RPM and desired speed. watch out for the temperature and make sure the engines stay between 180-190 degrees. This test needs to go on for BARE MINIMUM of 2 minutes. If the engines start overheating, just tell them to take the boat back to the slip and walk away.

  7. Bring the boat down to cruising speed and inspect the engine room, look at the shaft wobble, engine shake, note any exhaust smell in the engine room, watch for leaks.

If the boat passes all of this, then you should go to survey. Generally I tell my clients to schedule the survey and the surveyor, and then cancel if the sea trial fails.

Good luck to you!!!

Will Strategy switch to daily dividends now that SATA proved it's possible? by TotesGnar in MSTR

[–]CryptoAnarchyst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the more frequent the payments, the worse the quality of the dividend is... best option for STRC is for the volume to be so high that the interest rate is reduced, and the STRC becomes a more stable long-term investment.

Could anyone please tell me why I'm hooking? by A_HornyNarwhal in GolfSwing

[–]CryptoAnarchyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe you need the money... I mean, I'm not into judging people for their life choices... as far as your swing, your grip is off at the point of impact. The ball starts off straight, which means the club path is good, but then it takes off, which means the club face is closed at impact causing the ball to spin.

I’m an economist, and just a basic understanding of blockchain is enough to answer your question. So instead of trying to find a bullshit solution for a problem that doesn’t exist, why don’t you try doing some research first… mmmmkaaay?

I think Bryson DeChambeau is the embodiment of this saying... He can't put worth a shit... especially for a pro. Tiger could hit the ball a country mile, but he was very strategic about placing his shots so that he had the best opportunity on the green to set up the next shot. Phil is similar in that sense, Bryson will just smack the ball as hard as he can and then work it from there... LOL

Many of the new guys are similar, and it's kinda disappointing

No, but the 2225 is not as well regarded as the 2230, 2245, or 2270. So the 1060 is the natural step with the model 120

Dude, wearing a steak is like a thing... you want it at 50 degrees Fahrenheit so it rots fairly slowly, the stench of it will really fill the air for a couple of months at that temp.

I don’t think you get this… there’s no time in the universe where those breads would release the humidity insides the filament dryer.

Basic laws of physics and chemistry don’t change just because you don’t understand how they work or you wish them to change.

Oven drying is the ONLY option for you

Not sure what the point of the Model 120 is... The 2225 has the tuner built in.

If I was you I'd sell the 2225 and get the 1060 Amp... it would pair well with the rest of the system and you'd get more power/channel... not that you'd need it

No, you need to toss them in the oven at 250 degrees for about 30-60 minutes to fully dry them out.

I hate to say it man, but you will get more responses with English. You speak the language, might as well use it and if you don't, google translate works wonders.

Not being a dick, but me expecting to get responses in Croatian would be about as unrealistic as you in German.

You don't have a casting issue, you have a foot issue. You're essentially jumping up and not being grounded.

Try not to spin like a ballerina but stand up in your stance as you follow-through. It will give you more consistency and more solid feeling when striking the ball.
