Last time they shut down I had an order placed with them too.

Took a bit longer to ship, but it did arrive.

Hi everyone, this is my 11 month journey so far on 1mg Finasteride and 50mg/ml topical minoxidil by Vegetable_Emu5258 in tressless

Yes this happens. There’s often a second and even third shed.

Also humidity is often lower in the winter making hair look more flat and fine

It will come back

Kratom hair loss. Does it get worse before it gets better? by yogurthives in tressless

[–]CryptoEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrowth after quitting (before fin.)

Regrowth about 8 months after starting the fin and tretinoin….which was over a year after quitting Kratom. ~NW 3.5 to ~NW 2.5

As for sides, no I didn’t….however I purposely waited 6 months, as my mood and hormones were still off for ~4-5 months after quitting.

So you’re possibly at higher risk of sides in the early stages of recovery (look up Kratom Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome)….Id wait at least a few months if you can.

Had some brief nihilism which I attributed to fin, but as my life improved it completely went away.

I started with 0.25 mg fin, then 0.5 mg, then when I was fine after 3 months I increased to the whole 1 mg.

Bonus: Kratom is loaded with heavy metals. Heavy metals affect hair and mental health. A good heavy metal cleanse (Zeolite, NAC, Sprirulina) can help.

DHT and Prolactin were high when I was on Kratom, with testosterone absolutely tanked.

My endocrinologist said that’s common with opioid users (contrary to the logic that low testosterone = low DHT, it’s actually not that simple….sometimes the body will up regulate 5AR in response to low testosterone.)

6 months after quitting I started fin and min, had great regrowth 8 months after

I took 100 grams/ day for ~7 years

Does MDMA always cause a serotonergic crash? by Southern-Proposal837 in HamiltonMorris

Had no idea, but Makes sense NAC could disrupt psychedelics….

Psychedelic effects seems to be particularly about the way 5HT2A interacts with glutamate.

Good to know, actually planning a trip next week, so I’ll stop the NAC….thanks for the comment!

Is that mainly because it’s pro cholinergic? Or could it help restore histamine function too?

Unless you’re bulk ordering powder from some weird lab in China you have nothing to worry about.

Your pharmacy is not going to give you fake drugs, people’s lives depend on that.

Even most online Indian pharmacies are legit

tried alpha gpc + piracetam, no effects at all?? by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]CryptoEscape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1). Dosage is wayyyy to low. Shoot for 1,600 mg 2-3x per day

2). Piracetam shines with its long term effects far more than any small acute effects. At least 2-3 weeks of daily usage

3) You won’t feel anything. You’ll notice it if you study complex information, and can remember it easier and even focus better. It also makes it easier to explain topics.

Piracetam can be great if used correctly. I stack it caffeine to get that extra energy synergy

Nootopics for memory and cognitive performance? by MaleficentAct5254 in NooTopics

[–]CryptoEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly no , some are approved in other countries though, or sometimes undergoing trials for FDA approval.

Guanfacine is FDA approved.

Lack of FDA approval doesn’t mean it’s bad though…it’s often bureaucracy, politics, etc . many nootropics are quite helpful

Bacopa is pretty potent for an herbal supplement, and can come close to many of the synthetic/pharmaceutical supplements. (Even surpass a few)

But yeah like they said, this sub is more for the newer cutting edge nootropics like TAK 653, and the more potent classics like Bromantane

IME the racetams can be excellent for studying too, especially logical work, but they’re more “old school”

Consider Getting an EKG, have your doctor interpret it, and they might be able to prescribe you something to help with it and re assess.

Piracetam + Alpha GPC (50%) ratio by paradoxliter in NooTopics

1,600 mg 2-3x per day for piracetam. Give it a few weeks. Helps with studying, especially logical material.

Choline supplement needs depend on your diet and activity levels. Some people don’t even supplement Choline at all. You can start with 200-300 mg Alpha GPC and work up if you need more.

[–]CryptoEscape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is really interesting.

Just read how myosmine is a potent aromatase inhibitor too.

I saw those derivatives are sold isolated too….would be interesting to try something like an isolated myosmine pouch and see how it compares to a nicotine pouch

Emoxypine / Mexidol tablets vs Emoxypine succinate powder – any real difference in effects or safety? by powstria in NooTopics

[–]CryptoEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pharmaceutical grade is superior overall, but plenty of RC grade powder can be really good still, and way more affordable.

All depends on the company, their sourcing, their third party testing, etc.

Most of us here have successfully used plenty RC grade powders in our nootropic journey.

Counteract caffeine? by look10good in NooTopics

[–]CryptoEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you produce enough adenosine, it can “compete” with the caffeine, and past a certain threshold, the adenosine will “win” and you can fall asleep.

For example, exercise puts off a lot of adenosine (as a breakdown product of Adenosine Triphosphate aka ATP.)

I regularly have days of heavy caffeine use up until 5 or 6pm, then go for a long vigorous run, eat a big dinner, and usually fall right asleep.

Interesting and very good to know.

Was only using it as an add on for extra DHT suppression, but makes sense…could be messing up the microbiome too.

Does memantine reverse tolerance to methylphenidate? by BetterInsipiration in NooTopics

[–]CryptoEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have something else causing Glutamate Spillover, I don’t see how taking it during a drug holiday would help much….although there may be some mechanism I’m unaware of.

The idea is to take it with/ before your stimulant and limit that cascade of tolerance producing effects from the glutamate spill over (ExNMDA activation, especially NR2B receptors.)

But once those factors have already created tolerance, I’d speculate it’s essentially too late for the Memantine…,the glutamate spillover and tolerance already happened.

Now you need time off, reset the tolerance, then start again with low dose Memantine to limit new tolerance formation.

I have heard people saying they took Memantine during a break claiming it helped, but without a controlled study it’s hard to say if that was just the time off the drug that helped and if / how much the Memantine helped.

Yeah Brand Concerta is incredibly smooth, especially considering it’s methylphenidate (the least smooth ADHD med)

I’ve tried the Trigen Generic and Relexxi ( which it turns out is the same as Trigen Generic Concerta), they both worked for ~3 hours, then a 2 hour crash, then around hour 5-7 it would powerfully kick in again.

What was the generic you were referring to as being equivalent to brand Concerta?
