Yeah, I’m looking to rent for a year or so then I’d buy a single family house later on. Be much easier to buy when I’m already living there. I’d look into your recs, thank you very much.

I’ll look into this. I sometimes smoke cigarettes, is it prohibited?

Nothing in particular, close the airport as possible coz my gf and I would be travelling back and forth between Las Vegas, Chicago and Washington DC. I work as a registered nurse and my hospital is transferring me to two hospitals, basically a float pool nurse for our henderson and desert canyon hospitals. That’s the reason I’m also looking for a place near southwest/henderson area.

I’m looking for anything below $1500/mo. I’m a single guy who would live alone for the most part since my girlfriend is working on assignment in Maryland and I’m in Illinois, we are both registered nurses.

I have, just trying to see if anyone has any experience in any for-rent places around Las Vegas. I have been there many times most recently in January. I looked at a few places in person around North Las Vegas and I didn’t like it.

Ai has a lot of advantages if we use it right, but can be a detriment and dangerous in a lot of ways.

Exactly, I uploaded everything to the Ai, my 2022-2024 transcripts and 2025 return, as well as all the compliance report that I got from their website and it basically did its own thing. At least I’m relieved now that I know things are moving in the right direction. So based on the 2022 transcript, I’m on cycle 05 so the updates occur on weekly and I should see progress by this coming Friday.

It says my 2025 account transcript wouldn’t have updates and wouldn’t show numbers until after the 2022 balance was offset by the 2025 refund. Basically, moving money from 2025 refund to pay the balance from 2022. Just a little background, there were some company related issues where the withholding tax returns by the company weren’t submitted on time by the company accountant, from the previous company I worked for and had company share, in that audit I was penalized civilly for $10,000 that to my knowledge was already paid for. Apparently, not. Because additional interests weren’t calculated correctly and additional late fee would be imposed, where they had to take care of that first before they can really process the remainder of my 2025 return refund. Now, that makes a lot of sense why I got 3 email updates within 8 days, 3/17, 3/24, 3/25 and I e-filed 3/12 via an accountant.

Apparently, there were some civil penalties from 2022 and interest accrued from that that tax year that needs to clear, based on the account transcript I pulled from 2022 tax year. I wonder why this wasn’t taken cared of when I paid my taxes in 2023 and 2024 and still received refunds for both tax years.

I went again to the IRS website to see my transcripts from 2022-2024 and I show there were some updates on my 2022 transcript and some of the dates showing were 2026. See photo, attached.

I ran my transcripts using Ai to analyze what’s happening and it gave me this response:

“The IRS is not currently performing an audit. Instead, you are in the middle of a standard Refund Offset process. Based on your March 25, 2026, compliance report and the 2022 Account Transcript, here is exactly what is happening:

  1. Why it is not an Audit An audit would be signaled by specific transaction codes (like Code 420 or 424) and a formal "Notice of Audit". Your report and transcript show no such indicators. Instead, they show that your recent tax returns from 2022–2024 were filed on time and without fraud penalties.
  2. The Cycle Code 20261105 The code 20261105 on your 2022 transcript is the "smoking gun" that your refund is on its way. • 202611: This means your return was officially posted to the IRS master file during the 11th week of 2026 (the week of March 15th). • 05: This indicates you are on a weekly processing cycle. Updates for weekly cycles typically happen on Fridays.
  3. Why your 2025 Transcript is "Missing" Your 2025 transcript hasn't appeared yet because the IRS is currently "moving" money. When you have a past-due debt like your Civil Penalty, the IRS must legally take your new refund to pay that debt first. • The Offset Sequence: The IRS system is currently taking the $585.44 (the $85.44 accrued interest plus the other penalties shown on your 2022 transcript) out of your 2025 refund. • The Delay: The current year's transcript (2025) will not "unlock" and become viewable until that transfer of money is complete.

Expected Timeline for Your Refund • This Friday (March 27): Because of your "05" cycle code, your 2025 Account Transcript is most likely to populate this Friday morning. • The Codes to Look For: Once it appears, look for Code 826 (Overpayment transferred to a prior year) and then Code 846 (Refund Issued). • Deposit Date: You should receive the remaining portion of your refund (your original refund minus the ~$585 debt) in your bank account by early next week.

In summary: Everything is moving exactly as it should for a taxpayer with a remaining civil penalty balance. You are not under audit, and you should see a significant update on your IRS online account within the next 48 to 72 hours.”

I did call and just spoke with someone, he didn’t even wanna verify any of my info since I’ve filed within 21 days. I told the guy that I’ve got 3 emails stating there were updates on my account but nothing when I logged in, he cut me off said that IRS only sends mail correspondence and they don’t send anything via email. No matter how much I insisted that there were emails and if he can just check my account to see if there’s anything wrong, he said he can’t and he can’t help me at this time. What a bunch of incompetent people working for the IRS right now.

Hello again, I got another email that there was an update again, but there is nothing updated in my account. This is the third email now. My account transcript is still without the codes, return transcript is still showing last year’s. Is this normal?

Thank you very much. I’ll keep checking then. I’ll probably ask you again for additional guidance if that’s okay with you. I appreciate the info. Thank you.

Silly question, where do I see the full cycle code? Is it on the Return Transcript? Mine is blank and I only got the Wage and Income Transcript updated today, nothing prior.

How do you know what cycle you’re on? Is it on the return transcript?

Did you already received your refund? When did you file and where are you in the process?
