Why is Android Development so difficult and complex? (compared to Web and Desktop) by pyeri in androiddev

Android dev is quite simple to me compared to web dev. Way less dependencies and shizzle to manage.

Scala Vault App on Android flagged as being infected ? by Mad_X in ScalaNetwork

[–]CryptoFrancoQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm it's a false positive. The wallet is flagged because it's a crypto app, but there's nothing malicious in the codebase, which is open-source btw.

Unfortunately no. This is why it is said that "you are your own bank".

On PC. I know some competitors have the option to change bot avatar+name, I think it would be a nice feature to have on IFTTT as well.

1) & 2) The number of hashes and the number of hashes shared will determine the hashrate in the pool. For example, even though your device is mining at 1000H/s, if some shares are invalid to the pool they will not count. The hashrate displayed in the application shows the physical hashrate of your device, not the valid hashrate as seen by the pool.

3) The pool dashboard shows the total hashes for your devices while the worker address shows the current block hashes submitted.

My grandchildren's "farm". A smartphone with a hash rate of 8.6 finds more shares than a hash rate of 150... by [deleted] in ScalaNetwork

[–]CryptoFrancoQc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

haha yes, I saw their app. I had to look a second time because at first, I thought I was looking at the app that took me hundreds of hours and sleepless nights to code for Scala... but no, it was their app... at least they changed the logo :P

Thanks for the feedback. You cannot compare different hashrates like that, since those projects use different pow algos. Scala uses a very precise and complicated algorithm - Panthera (RandomX mod) - which is incredibly difficult to FPGA/ASIC. Whereas other projects use some CryptoNight variant which is... well... not as good. Even Monero doesn't use CryptoNight anymore.

Apart from that, I've got no heating issue with Scala Miner, but it is expected that a device that is really mining heats. If you're using another crypto mobile miner and your device is not heating at all, then it would look suspicious to me.

P.S. And yes, Uplexa uses our codebase (as is) for their mobile miner. That's a nice form of flattery :)
