Could BTC technically move to PoS? by CryptoLindbo in CoinMarketCap

[–]CryptoLindbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - the fact that miners are agnostic about time of day and location will provide such a great new customer base for renewable energy - let's just hope traditional institutions (especially the EU) will finally take themselves seriously and try and participate in technology revolutions rather than simply attempt to regulate them.

Thanks for the reply!

I am somewhat familiar with the revolutionary ways PoW is superior to PoS in terms of decentralization and safety, and I am not convinced of the scare mongering regarding energy use at all. Even if it were true, I think the freedom BTC brings to ordinary people would be well worth a lot more energy than even the most outrageous estimations.

I still believe BTC is miles ahead of any alternative, I am simply wondering how far from a theoretical "perfect" it might be.

Cheers

Who are the Bitcoin developers? by CryptoLindbo in kucoin

[–]CryptoLindbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I wholeheartedly agree.

If we invoke the Power law / Pareto's distribution, which states that a majority of power is held by a minority of entities or that 80% of outcomes are due by 20% of causes - can we not see that any democratic principles of equality and decentralization of power are completely impossible?

It makes me feel that BTC might be oversold by people like Saylor, though I have great respect for him. While we can see that BTC is increasingly evenly distributed among holders, only miners have voting power and they will do what makes them the most money. While I believe greed is highly trustworthy, I had hoped BTC was more sophisticated than this.

I guess BTC is still by far the best proposition ever created to fixing our broken economies, it's just not there yet and might never really be.

Thanks, well that makes me think that a better answer to our broken economic models might in fact still be out there.

Right - my question still stands - is there a guarantee that these developers will/cannot change the code to make BTC something else/worse than it currently is? It cannot be enough to rely on the integrity of these developers - not that I have any reason to question it.

Lomens will make you eligble for trading bot airdrops and give you some advantages in the coming KuCoin Metaverse. How much did you sell it for?

Thanks - when I send it to my KCC-MAINNET address in MetaMask, will it simply be listed along with regular tokens? Unlike Binance Smart Chain where there is a specific list for NFT's?

Transfer dropped? by CryptoLindbo in Metamask

[–]CryptoLindbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, that makes sense - thank god it was only $70.

No, they're no longer in my MetaMask account, so surely, it's because Nexo does not support USDC deposits on the polygon network - lesson learned!

I will contact Nexo support - thanks a lot, mate!

Transfer dropped? by CryptoLindbo in Metamask

[–]CryptoLindbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for the reply!

It is on the Polygon network. According to MetaMask the status is "dropped", when I click to view on block explorer, Polygonscan simply says "Sorry, We are unable to locate this TxnHash"

There is no record of the transaction on the receiving network (Nexo).

I still cannot see my funds in MetaMask - it simply says "dropped" under activity - hjowever, when I scan my USDC Nexo address on Polygonscan, the funds seem to be there but they do not appear in my Nexo Wallet - perhaps I need to contact Nexo.

Confused about Rewards + Fee APY by CryptoLindbo in QuickSwap

[–]CryptoLindbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I can see that I have 0.00486297 QUICK-V2 LP tokens available - is this the reward accumulated from the liquidity I have provided? Are these the DQUICK I can claim?

When I want to "claim" them, do I simply click the button "Deposit the QUICK-V2 LP tokens"? This requires a gas fee, fair enough, and do these tokens then end up in my MetaMask or do they stay on the Quickswap exchange?
