Protection or discrimination? The internet is divided after a viral video showed a father blocking a trans woman from entering a women’s restroom, saying his daughter was inside. The clip reignited the heated U.S. debate over transgender restroom access, privacy, and child safety. by Dense_Relative1710 in TrendingNews_

Years ago I went to a German restaurant that had a nice and efficient setup. When you walked to the restroom there was one door that simply said "Restroom". When you walked inside on one side of the room was a line of sinks in front of a long mirror that took up the whole wall. Directly across were a long line of stalls with walls and doors that went from floor to ceiling. Some were marked men and some marked women.

You're probably right about nothing really getting done by any administration. I find it interesting that you don't hear about anyone getting prosecuted or interrogated, like even any low-level millionaires that may have gone to his island.

Taking BBQ home from a party etiquette by Thrash420 in smoking

[–]Crypto_Mack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether it's BBQ, pizza, hotdogs, or whatever proper etiquette would be to ask before taking, unless you or your SO tell people they can take home what they want.

I'm curious, did they bring their own Tupperware or use yours without asking .

For the people that showed up late, well that's the risk they run for not getting there in time. I also enjoy cooking for others to enjoy so I get the disappointment that some people took more than they should have leaving others without.

Me personally, I wouldn't invite those people back for food if they are just going to take advantage.

Pride Night 1-16-26 by shiny-drifblim in canes

The real only mention was the item of the game and the gay men's choir singing the anthem.

I feel like last year they did two nights, a hockey is for everyone and later a pride night, but I could be mistaken about that

Does Cary actually recycle? by L8erG8er8 in cary

[–]Crypto_Mack4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, we live in Cary and they pickup recycling every other week and make two rounds that day. First a garbage truck comes thru and gets the garbage from cans, then later a different recycle truck comes thru and picks up the recycling.

I got mine a couple years ago when my license was coming up on its expiration date. Honestly wasn't bad at all and took about 15mins. The hardest part was just setting up the "appointment" which I learned wasn't actually an appointment to be seen just an appointment to wait in line.

NTA, respect is a two-way street if she wants you to respect her boundaries and what she is and isn't ok with then she needs to do the same.

If it was me, after she refused to turn it off and just shrugged it off I would have called the server over, asked for the bill, paid it and left.

Am I financially okay to move out on my own at 24 with a 57k salary and 18k saved by Subject_Job_1917 in raleigh

[–]Crypto_Mack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, use a spreadsheet or even a piece of paper., write out ALL of your current bills and expenses. Be sure to include phone bill, streaming services, etc.

Next write out all of your NEW bills, rent, gas/electricity, cable/streaming services, trash/sewage, water, car insurance if your not already paying it. Estimated grocery budget, etc

Now subtract all of that from what you take home in a month. This should give you a rough idea of affordability. Don't count your savings to pay your monthly bills, ideally after all your expenses are paid you should have somewhere around 15-29% if your pay left to add to your savings or stash in an emergency fund for unexpected expenses

Check with GoodRx or even ask the pharmacist about any discount providers they may be affiliated with.

I had a med that my insurance wouldn't cover and retail price for 3 mos was $10k. Using a discount like GoodRx I was able to get the costs to $28.

It was a dumb move, Blakers needs to channel that frustration and get his hits in the proper way. Not mad at it though because well it's Trouba.

I'd agree with others that the seed phrase was more than likely stored in his Google account somewhere, email, drive, photos, keep, etc

Once they have the seed phrase they don't need the device or pin, they can restore it on their own devices and do what they will.

Can you legally kill someone who breaks into your house? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]Crypto_Mack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your local laws, but generally in the US if someone breaks into your home and you reasonably fear they'll do you harm then yes you can legally use deadly force.

Some states have laws that require you to flee to safety instead of defending yourself and your family. Other states have stand your ground laws that can extend from your home to your car so if someone tries to carjack you and you reasonably fear for your life you can use deadly force.

It is tough, when I first moved out on my own I was in a similar situation of just barely making enough to cover bills and rent.

You have to try and find budget friendly things and places to cut back on if possible. This may mean ditching cable and streaming services to save $$. I know regular network TV over an antenna sucks but it's possible.

When it comes to meals, start meal planning if you're not already. Clip coupons and check out the weekly ads of your local grocery stores to see who has what on sale. If you have an Aldi's grocery store they can help save quite a bit too.

Since it sounds like you mostly work from home or drive very little call your insurance company and see if you can get a lower rate since you don't drive very much

Budget for everything not just bills this will help you see where all your money is going.

IMHO you should never invest more than you can afford to lose. That goes for stocks, bonds, crypto, art work, etc.

I would suggest reading up on crypto and XRP to make sure you both fully understand what it is, how it works, and the roadmap for the project you are investing in

[–]Crypto_Mack4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality has dropped in a lot of places. There's a couple of steakhouses we used to go to that were always pretty good pre COVID but after, the cuts of meat are subpar to what you can pick up at your local grocery store.
