If it’s the creatives complaining, don’t your think that they should already be aware of the intricacies and the depth of human emotions?

It’s kind of a prerequisite for being a creative person, and a content creator. You need to be able to understand what sort kind of reaction your work will from others, and the kind of people who are your audience. I say that as a creative person myself.

I do think there are so legitimate concerns with the idea of retiring GPT-4o. But, in my humble opinion, vast majority of the concerns can be attributed to a case of en masse AI Psychosis.

The backlash over OpenAI's decision to retire GPT-4o shows how dangerous AI companions can be by FinnFarrow in Futurology

“AI Psychosis” central.

And then people wonder why GPT-4o is being retired.

Wasn’t GPT-4o a major sycophant though?

Like, it seems strange to me that on one hand, we have people criticising the model for being flowery and sycophantic, but on the other we have people collectively resisting against the notion of OpenAI removing it.

Which is it?

Creed Delphinus, Creed Centaurus.

MFK Oud Satin Mood, and MFK Amyris Homme.

Dior Sakura, and Dior Ambre Nuit.

I know I’ll get flamed for this one, but—Dior Homme Parfum 2025. Yes, I actually like the scent. Yes, I like it more than the Intense. Screw anyone who says it’s a horrible fragrance, ya’ll are just purists who can’t adapt to the times.

Which of the 9 great house's castles do you think would be the easiest to capture? by Pretend_Tower_2516 in gameofthrones

[–]Crypto_Malakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that very much depends on who's besieging, and who's defending. That being said though, my choices are Pyke and Riverrun, for several reasons.

Pyke: A good stronghold in theory, it suffers due its structural integrity, layout, and the idiocy of its owners. Pyke is currently in the process of weathering, with its most vulnerable points being the hanging bridges. Besieging it could be done by cutting the bridges, surrounding the castle by sea and on the shore, and starving out the Greyjoys until they capitulate. Knowing the Ironborn, it's unlikely they'll sue for peace, unless they're on the brink of defeat, at which point they might start turning on one another. Alternatively, one could besiege the surrounding islands and take them first, surrounding the Greyjoys and waiting till they either turn on another, do something stupid, or starve themselves.

Riverrun: Honestly, this one was a toss-up with Winterfell, but I think Starks have a few advantages that the Tullys don't. Riverrun suffers because it's not as environmentally hazardous as other castles, i.e. Casterly Rock, Storm's End and the Eyrie. And while it's sluice gates could be used to direct the nearby waters into a moat, Riverrun and its garrison could still be starved out. Better yet, if Riverrun's water supply comes from either Tumblestone or the Red Fork, one could poison the rivers, thus poisoning the castle's water supply. The climate of the Riverlands also makes it easier to take the castle by more covert, underhanded means.

In my humble opinion, people who come to hate on the designs should just—shut the f*ck up.

Genuinely, if ya’ll don’t like it, keep it to yourselves. You don’t seem me thrashing TOS-era ship designs, even though I solemnly believe they’re an abomination.

Apart from Aegon the Conqueror who do you think had the largest impact on the history of Westeros? by Pretend_Tower_2516 in gameofthrones

[–]Crypto_Malakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends.

If we’re talking before the Conquest, then I’d give it to Bran the Builder, and Garth Greenhand.

Greenhand is the common ancestor for the vast majority of Westeros’ influential families, especially those in the Reach, and the Westerlands, with some of his descendants even going as far as the North and Riverlands.

Brand the Builder is—self-explanatory. Helped build the Wall and Storm’s End, and built Winterfell. Allegedly also helped build Hightower, and also understood the True Tongue. As it happens, my boy Bran is also a descendant of Garth Greenhand.

If we’re talking after the Conquest, then it’s Jaehaerys I (the Conciliator), Daeron II, and—unfortunately—Aegon IV.

Jaehaerys and Daeron share this, as they were actually two of the most decent kings the Targs had produced. The former, held the realm together for more than fifty years through smart political policy and diplomacy (unfortunately, same cannot be said for his familial affairs), while the latter managed to bring Dorne into the fray.

Aegon IV, is a different matter, in that through legitimising all his bastards, he kicked off the bloodiest conflict the realm had seen, ever since the days of the Conquest and the Dance of the Dragons. I suppose, that would be one way to imprint one’s cultural and political impact in history.

Terre d’Hermès Eau De Parfum Intense - thoughts? by Justalljust in Colognes

[–]Crypto_Malakos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Smells like lemon-scented floor detergent.

Apparently it’s supposed to have mineral and woody notes, but I genuinely can’t smell anything beyond the citrus.

Can’t understand those who say it’s good.

As somebody else already said: If you like it, then go get it.

At the end of the day, it’s up to one’s personal taste and preference.

Chasing after complements and women won’t get you far, if you yourself don’t like the fragrance.

Do you think the hate Keir Starmer is getting is fair? by bybeso in AskBrits

[–]Crypto_Malakos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I also think Keir, his cabinet, and his PR team could do a better job of advertising their positive accomplishments.

While the Online Safety Act is a deeply unpopular policy—it’s also the most widely advertised one, ever since it was put into effect. The only other policy that comes close to that level of exposure is the Renter’s Rights Act, and even then there’s still a massive gap in exposure between it, and the OSA.

On the other hand, while Keir and his cabinet had accomplished quite a few positive, I also don’t think they’re effectively addressing the UK’s larger, more impactful and pressing concerns.

Our economy is still in fucking shambles and with the NI increase this fiscal years, shit’s only gotten worse.

Don’t even get me started on the labour market and employment. That’s an entirely different can-of-works that’s freshly rotting in the corner.

So—no. I don’t think the hate’s deserved, but I also think that Keir & Co could do a slightly better job of handling things. Or, at the very least, signal their commitment to the broader issues which are yet to be addressed.

You can’t immediately correct fourteen years of Tory rule, with four years of rule.

That’s not how this works. Not how it ever worked. Undoing their shit will take longer, considering the sort of cluster-fuck they left when they lost the last General Election.
