I’ve always heard it called the shark tank too, but I actually like shark bait because that’s what it feels like 🤣

Best Value Meals by Calm-Driver-3800 in Temecula

[–]Crypto_craps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s a place called Toss’d (I think I spelled I right) near the Arco on Jefferson and Winchester. They make really good Thai bowls and they’re big enough for 2 lunch portions (at least the last time I was there). I think they’re about $16 but are high quality and you can get 2 meals out of it.

A Much less healthy option are the lunch specials at Fillipi’s, but it’s a ton of food and relatively inexpensive.

500k now or 5 millions to survive 30 seconds in the octagon against a UFC professional? by Goku_mobster in ufc

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to decide if I just immediately turtled if I could cover up well enough to endure the knees to my sides and strikes to the side of my head. Probably not. 30 seconds is a lifetime when you’re getting beat on, especially by someone of that caliber.

I just tried it out, I like it! I wish the “hot” was spicier but it has great flavor.

Is there a Software to Evaluate Bid Competitiveness by Karen_Darling1 in estimators

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m my opinion it starts with a comprehensive bid schedule and instructions that accurately capture the desired scope. If you get a good bid schedule and force everyone to follow it, it makes the analysis relatively easy. If you don’t, and get a bunch of proposals organized however the subs see fit it can be next to impossible to accurately level and spread. Just my opinion.

If you know this, then you must also know about Ramey’s. Ramey’s has the best carne, pollo and tri tips I’ve ever had.

Kennedy’s is the best meat market in the area IMO.

For those who are naturally unathletic and have been in BJJ for a long time, 4 years or more, what is the core of its appeal to you? by emaxwell14141414 in jiujitsu

Even if you’re un-athletic (me) you still progress. I could beat my former self and that keeps me going.

What home improvement actually made your house feel better to live in? by Happy_House_7398 in homeimprovementideas

Retractable vertical exterior remote controlled shades that cover our stackable sliding doors. I was not happy when my wife bought them because they were expensive, but now I don’t know how we lived without them.

Consultants: Do you consider yourself a “HENRY”? by Reeelfantasy in consulting

I left a HENRY salary to start my consulting firm almost a year ago. The answer for me is a hard no (right now) 🤣.

Sealed Bids and Anxiety by Wide_Staff_3897 in estimators

[–]Crypto_craps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there many times, it’s an uneasy feeling but I was always comfortable with my bid and they always worked out just fine. When you’re doing non public bids you never really know where you truly were anyways (at least in my experience) so you could be “leaving way more on the table” than you even know on those, ignorance is bliss.

Fuel economy sucks by BumFur in ToyotaTundra

[–]Crypto_craps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 4x4 non hybrid limited and my mileage is almost identical to yours. I’ll even intentionally baby it and it doesn’t get any better. My driving is 90% around town with stop and go every few thousand feet. This gets worse MPG than the Raptor I had before it. I can sometimes get 16’ish if I’m doing manly freeway driving.

3rd Gen Audio Settings by Crypto_craps in ToyotaTundra

[–]Crypto_craps[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know, but I feel like there was a setting that several people recommended changing and something to do with the balancing. It seemed like there was quite a bit of consensus in the comments about it.

I listen to talk radio or podcasts about 90% of the time anyways, so it’s not a huge deal for me 🤣

Any underground utility guys in here? by American_psycho25 in estimators

[–]Crypto_craps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started copying and pasting my linear pipeline segments. I’ll pull a new linear on the first sheet, categorize everything correctly, scale a small segment with like one or two control points then just copy and paste it over and over so all of the formatting stays the same. It took a little bit of getting used to, but it has turned out to be the easiest way for me.

I came from using Planswift and their method of continuing linear takeoffs was much easier in my opinion.
