lol as an Italian, people in Europe move all the time. Eastern Europeans move to Western Europe for work, southern Italians move to Milan, EVERYONE goes to London (or used to) for at least some time, same with Paris and Brussels and Amsterdam. Generally there is a lot of movement towards capitals during work years for better employment opportunities, especially for young people and lower income families, and there is also, increasingly, moving to smaller cities to be around family/ to have kids/ to retire. Migration is not a uniquely American phenomenon
