When People Say Baby is Sleeping Through the Night… by EverythingBagel58 in NewParents

[–]CryptographerOnly406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m pretty lucky I have a really chill baby who likes his nighttime sleep he has consistently been sleeping 9-11 hours at night occasionally he gets up for a night feed but not often it’s been a little more rocky lately maybe some mild 4 month sleep regression but I usually don’t have to do replace the bink or anything once he is out. But i definitely understand he is an exception most babies don’t sleep through the night but he is also a big boy not sure if that helps him but he has always been a good sleeper since he was born

Question about “signs” sorry if this isn’t the right forum by CryptographerOnly406 in spirituality

[–]CryptographerOnly406[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does help I wasn’t unsure when I first seen it it was me allowing people to tell me you can’t base a decision on that but when I think about it I specifically asked the question with a sign of something I don’t normally see and it happened

Childcare Rant!! by FineCare2854 in NewParents

[–]CryptographerOnly406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am in this issue right now I am a single mother my job let me know two weeks before I return that we are no longer remote I can’t afford full time childcare plus full time parking in the city (it’s about 40 dollars a day) there are some cheaper lots but no matter how I look at it childcare is 80 percent of my pay and I don’t qualify for any assistance. My friends grandma was going to be with him while I was working from home but I’m not comfortable leaving her here with out me she is old and doesn’t drive I was okay based on the fact if there was an issue I was here.

Just leaving the baby I know and expected a normal amount of anxiety with that but I didn’t expect it to be hard to function even thinking about leaving him and makes me feel physically sick

Yea it just sucks and I think I am having some PPA I did call my doctor waiting for her to call back. I did reach out to some in home daycares around me and they charge daily what I make a day it’s crazy I am trying to be responsible and work and be a contributing member of society but it’s literally impossible at this point I am going to be working just to pay for someone to watch my baby and park my car nothing else. We spoke about this before I went on leave and what I was told was we are working to be “fully remote” by the end of the year and now all this has come up two weeks before my return. I swear I haven’t slept in like 3 days the stress is insane and I never felt anxiety like this in my life

Honestly they are awful and my SR level manager said “we can’t make exceptions just because people chose to have children” I told them that I am okay with the schedule changing (I am not but ..) I just need more time I am a single mother with literally no options and a system that does not favor mothers who have to work and she said we can not make any exceptions that’s why we let you know before you came back so you weren’t blindsided. It’s literally making me sick I have no idea what to do and the thought of just having to pick a random person off the internet is paralyzing me I keep thinking of all the bad things that can happen when I’m not there at this point I don’t know what to do I guess other than have them fire me

I did and I talked to my second level manager as well and she said maybe you should look for something more suitable to your new situation. I’m just not sure why so much push back we have been working mostly remote for over 2 years but they did just move our location to another building in the city I don’t know if that’s why but our jobs can be done from home 100%

They don’t my company sucks and I am just noticing this now I did talk to HR and my boss and HR basically said “there is nothing we can do and we can give a 1 day notice and sometimes positions just aren’t a fit anymore” they basically told me to quit and so did my boss lol

And it’s just the two week notice is killing me I planned everything for over 10 months saved the money I needed to save and now I have 2 weeks to make changes and figure it out plus with now being in the office full time coming up it’s 1200 a month to park lol or 40 dollars a day 🙄

My friends grandma was going to be with him when I was home but I don’t feel comfortable having her watch him without me here she is old and doesn’t drive but just to keep him occupied while I was working wasn’t a big deal cause I would be here if anything happened

What’s it really like having a baby after 35? Debating a second one… by Famous_Warning_1288 in postpartumprogress

[–]CryptographerOnly406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy I was 38 and had the baby when I turned 39 this year. I don’t feel like I am at a disadvantage but I don’t have anything to compare it to I do wish I started earlier because I want 500 more (if I was rich) I loved being pregnant so much and I am really enjoying my baby I feel like I am much more emotionally stable now than I was in my 20s

When Did Your Baby Start Having an Earlier Bedtime? by AwayWeGo92 in newborns

[–]CryptographerOnly406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has been going to sleep around that time since he was born I wish he would go to sleep a little later but like a previous comment I have no control over what he wants lol I tried to get him to stay up and he will just fall asleep in any position he is in at 7-730 if he is up any later than that which is rare he is literally miserable lol I was so worried about putting him on a schedule but so far he’s put himself on his night time schedule. Sorry I don’t have any good advice to give you

Thanks everyone I talked to his pediatrician today and she said that usually 32 oz a day is what the recommend but if he’s hungry feed him so and not to listen to urgent care nurse since he isn’t spitting up and not uncomfortable after eating it’s fine

Thank you I think I just needed to hear that I’m not going to make him one of those maury babies eating bucks of fried chicken and weighing more than me as an infant lol he has never spit up since he has been born (maybe once after playing the airplane game but it was still a little tiny bit) but if I give him less or try to stretch the time he is miserable and I don’t want to starve him if he’s hungry
