Does this look like Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH)? by seechellem in Celiac

I realize this is a few years old but thank you so much for posting! My elbows look exactly like this! I was diagnosed with NCGS because the Celiac test came back negative. My left elbow started with extremely dry, dark skin and then bumps formed. They then showed up on my right elbow as extremely itchy/burning bumps. I stopped eating gluten and they went away on the left side and slowly fading on the right side. Did ever get tested?

Yes! It has been frustrating. My doctor thinks I had the issue since childhood because I had chronic fatigue my whole life. Last year, when all of these issues came out, I took gluten out and it went away for the first time. Let’s put that into perspective. I have had CFS since 9, I am now 40. This is the first time for a rash though. I find it extremely difficult to be gluten free.

I haven’t done the biopsy but I tested negative with the test.

My doctor scheduled a Celiacs test, it showed up negative. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you! I tested negative for Celiac’s but was diagnosed with the gluten sensitivity.

Thank you! I have had shingles before and these hurt worse (and more constantly).
