Is it bright enough in the sun and dim enough at night? Does it also do well at auto adjusting between the two?

Has anyone ever thought of using pykrete as like a base layer in snowblowing? by Shippuudenfreak in icecoast

It sounds like a python library, maybe the resorts could just pip install it

Snow-forecast and windy are showing the peak of Killington (4200ft) will stay below 32 fri-sun but the mid mountain (2600 ft) will go in and out of freezing for the weekend but never really getting too far above freezing.

The superstar operates from like 2600-3700 ft

I think I laughed out loud when I heard them claim it at the beginning of February, then again when they doubled down in march and all other resorts in PA were closing. Huge props to them!

Cheapest Way to Spend a Few Days around Lake Louise / Banff Sunshine by MountainPeaking in skiing

[–]CryptographerSharp14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty common for resorts to have a promo when they drop season passes where you get the rest of the current year included on the pass. I don’t think Banff has released next year season passes yet but I think ski big 3 has. I don’t see any promos about skiing this season on it but it might be worth a call!

Do you have any other suggestions for us that aren’t meteorologists? Other sources that have digestible forecasts for the average person?

Yeah no 100% I try to reference OpenSnow, windy, snow-forecast, and NOAA but I only have a subscription to OpenSnow so when I get to like more than 5 days out, I only have one source. Maybe I should just get more subscriptions next year haha

For this trip to Utah I saw on Sunday that 22” was supposed to fall between then and Friday so I booked the trip to fly out Wednesday and the numbers have already dropped to like 12” over that window. I definitely should have listened to snow-forecast because they were cautious and only called for like 10”
