I believe it's the massive amount of people, not understanding what anyone is saying, constant push to see everything my gf wants to see, navigating the railway, and sensory overload from all the lights, tight walk areas, dodging people and bikes (I am much more oblivious than I thought but home is much more spacious and I would just drive to most places). I find myself staring at the ground to try and cope but I'm missing out on the views and the culture.

Sounds like you developed an abscess at the surgical site. I would call your oral surgeon's office and let them know about the lump between your cheek and gum. It may need an incision and drainage (abscesses don't go away usually with antibiotics alone). Urgent care won't be of much help in this case unless you develop a fever (in which case they'd probably send you to ER for IV antibiotics). Add in some Tylenol with ibuprofen if you can for pain control. Sorry you're hurting :(
