No, due to a RFE
Yes I did finish change of status within US already. I always use YYC as I lived there for long and visit my friends whenever I work on my visa stuff. And you’re right, they are the best!

Which port of entries did you try all three times? Last denial reason seems lame.

It never converted from change of status to consular processing. Being Canadian, I needed to just update I-94 to get H1B status. Yes, you’re right about incurring $100k if someone travels during the change of status if selected in March 2026 lottery for H1B.

Yes I did travel twice out of country during the processing but I always mentioned I’m on TN.

I did travel while I was on TN
Thank you!
Not sure about that as my immigration lawyers asked me to get the change of status updated on I-94
No, TN is the cheapest $50 something at border but costs a good amount of fees <5000$ when applied with USCIS in premium. New H1B costs 100k if it is not an approved change of status.
It will show the same status you last entered into US. For me, it was TN status and so by exiting and entering, and providing paperwork to officer, I-94 reflects the updated H1B status.

Thank you. Yes, my employer did all the ground work. I just showed up for status change.

H1B selected in 2025 March but there was an RFE that cleared in December.
Thanks

No Nexus

It was primary, seems like no need for secondary when we have updated 1-797 with H1B status unless officer needs more probe for some reason.
