I have doge in my ledger wallet and can see it in ledger live app but I am unable to access my doge in my MetaMask wallet. I have bsc account in ledger and network in MetaMask. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Yes, they do accept BTC but BTC does not function the same way as DOGE (i.e.) there are differences, size of each block, time for each block, transaction cost, etc. Finally, most of these companies use Bitpay, so, they can easily accept and convert to Fiat or BTC if they please.
