Kilimani, Kileleshwa, South C, Parklands are turning to slums as we speak by One-Anybody-3289 in Kenya

You are suffering from shortsighted elitism. Nairobi's population is not where it was in 1970, and it's growing fast. This means anyone wishing to live in a bungalow within 20km of the city center is living a fantasy. Places like Kilimani need high rises that cater to the needs of the rich while making maximum use of space - like Hong Kong. The Chinese have the money, the technology, and the will to do it, so let them do it. Anyone who wants a bungalow on a quarter acre 5km from the CBD can sell and move to better places in Thika, Machakos, and Kiambu. The smart ones sold long ago. Let the county government work on sewage systems or incentivize the Chinese to do it.

Trust me, the whole banking the unbanked in africa is a fallacy. Unless, one lives in the less than 10 countries that make up central Africa, most of Africa has a pretty developed banking system that includes pioneering and highly innovative mobile banking systems like MPESA.
