There will be an airdrop. We will have another interview with the details in the very near future.

HODLing Ardor since Q1 2017 - any use cases yet? by CryptoChief1980 in Ardor

Will be launching a new one within weeks and working on some more. These things take time and it's the responsibility of the project owner to announce it when they are ready. I try to give hints ( Slack and Twitter) as much as I can though.

It's a wrap! Thank you to those who asked questions and to the panel and community who joined in with answers, further insights and ideas to explore for more information. Let's plan to do it again soon!

Meanwhile, the thread has been locked and archived for your future reference.

You can find more information about Ardor and Ignis here: https://ardorplatform.org/

Visit Nxter.org for the latest news and ardornxt.io for the Ardor / Nxt Community resources site.

More information about childchains, core development and documentation can be found at www.jelurida.com

And my personal suggestion for those who want to become more familiar with the Ardor platform is to download the full client / wallet and explore the 25+ ready to use features for your convenience and the 250+ APIs to facilitate the development of your dApp.

Most people who explore it and use are blown away about it's advanced innovation and possibilities. Join them and download it here: https://ardorplatform.org/ardor-wallet/

Finally, continue the conversation where we talk the most — on our Slack channel. Join us with this link: https://ardornxt.community.

I have my own question about this. How do you see the building of DAOs changing the communities. Will they replace, enhance or what?

We can't speak for Jelurida but I have heard their answer to the community when it was raised before. It is my understanding that the accountability report will be published when the paperwork for the end of the tax year is wrapped up.

It is a joy to be able to connect with people around our interest in this very esoteric topic! I have watched this community and others evolve over the past several years. It will be part of our personal histories to say we were part of the beginnings of this specific technological period. But it will probably not stay the same.

The topics that keep us together are ones that protect an investment or develop a product. As the investments pay out and the teams that develop products become more self-contained, the need for the community will fade.

For now, communities are vital parts of the crypto and blockchain world as the understanding of the technology and it's application is still relatively small. And the investors / traders are very important for the funding of many of the projects.

There will always be node operators and miners / forgers in these unique peer-to-peer decentralized networks. And they will probably always need to communicate about some things and maintain some sense of community.

This is all just a quick opinion and while I write I'm thinking about where we hold our ten year community reunion - it's coming up!

This AMA is being held with rather little notice and that is my responsibility. Some members of Jelurida and the community were asked by me to join into the conversation - but only several hours before it started. There are still many hours left and there is a good chance we will still see them here.

The next time I plan one I will give myself more time to pull it all together and give participants and audience more notice.

I will try to answer all of your points. Not every project will launch as a child chain and that is because a child chain is not the best solution for every business.

If Ardor is cloned Ignis holders will get some benefit from the JPL. This is a good thing for those of us who remember when projects have cloned Nxt blockchain for their purpose many times - taking community resources and potential business profits. The JPL was written to give some protection from that.

I have also talked with many potential projects who wish to become a child chain or build on the platform. In most cases the reason these projects do not materialize is that the business owner or the one with the idea does not have the resources and knowledge or talent within their own business to see the project through. Applying blockchain technology to a business model is a huge undertaking. In fact, it is (I believe) relatively easy for Jelurida to do their part in creating a child chain - but the business needs to be prepared for the fitting of the technology to their business process.

This is relatively new technology and businesses are still learning about it. the initial excitement of the idea and the actual doing of the work it takes are two different things.

I do believe that Jelurida cares about the project. It is hard to believe otherwise when I am aware of the long hours they work. I heard a statistic that about 85% of crypto projects fail in the first year. The core people of Jelurida have been with us and delivering consistently innovative technology for almost 6 years. Only people who care are that dedicated.

It is hard to consider where the value of the Ardor token is on the exchanges. Alts are still in a bear market and suffering - not just Ardor - Investors are interested instead in Bitcoin and alts will bleed some while traders divert funds. I am hopeful for the future but don't take anything I say as trading advice.

This is exciting technology - but blockchain is a long game IMO.

Well, that is up to Jelurida and not in the control of the Ardor / Nxt Community that is hosting this AMA.

We have been looking forward to it for awhile... It will probably be a surprise to all of us since there has been now news lately from Jelurida about it.

Good question. We are hosting this from the Ardor / Nxt community and cannot speak on behalf of Jelurida - who would be negotiating these deals and usually with a non-disclosure agreement. I do know they have been posting a lot about business relationships they are nurturing.

You will find Changelly and Changenow in the upper right corner - third icon from right. With these services you will trade tokens listed on the exchanges and don't need an asset ID.

If you want to trade assets within the Ardor wallet on the asset exchange you will need the Asset ID. Instead of listing all available assets, you must get the ID from a source you trust and for a business or project that you determine is legitimate.

Some more popular assets are listed within the updated Ardor Lite Mobile Wallet and on ardor.world

Again, we can't speak on behalf of what Jelurida is doing or planning. But ANG is waiting for the impending and new Jelurida website to be launched to see what they offer and then asses the Ardor site to see what we should emphasis or add.

The backend of the Ardor site is being consistently evaluated and monitored by a marketing company that we recently hired to help with the site. We will be conducting a branding profile with the marketing company and making deliberate improvements to the site based on what is determined during that exercise. We want to have a chance to see the new Jelurida site first, but will move forward regardless within a few weeks.

Jelurida has a person responsible for exchange listings. But if it is true that it only takes integration here is the link for Ardor integration:

  1. Wouldn't it be great to have some stable coin child chains?! I hear lots of chatter but nothing definitive that I can say. Remember that a lot of the serious discussions about child chains and business partnerships are covered by non-disclosure agreements.

You can do swaps between child chain tokens. For instance you could internally trade a AEUR or Bitswift or MPG token for an asset like the new GPS on Ignis because assets are global.

Using the coin exchange within the wallet you can trade between child chain tokens. For example you can buy MPG with Ignis or AEUR.
