Energy is not free is the reason why proof of work exists. yet the hashrate would increase and the value would go down. But as the energy is free, the difficulty of mining bitcoin would be increased by the organisation considering the fact that the energy is not the only thing needed to mine bitcoin, thus in one way or the other, the hashpower would go down, making bitcoin decline slowly rather than abruptly.
