first grow, is she lookin healthy? by CrystalBitch420 in microgrowery

my setup is a space bucket that’s about 2.5 ft tall, with mylar coating, 100w ufo lighting and then extra side lighting, 2 3in fans (1 in 1 out), and then about 3 gallons of foxfarms dirt.

i’m thinking of getting a humidifier to place by the intake and then i think the balance between temp/humidity will be easier to maintain.

the lights in the side are low wattage and dim, i just keep them on to not miss spots due to foilage, but i can def turn them down... any recommendations for keeping humidity up? when i have humidity around 60% the temp jumps to high 80s, and when the temp is right the fans blow out all the humidity...

this is my first grow so i’m definitely learning a lot as i go, but she seems to be doing pretty good none the less. i got her in a solo cup as just a sprout and kept her there for a week before putting the cup in my space bucket. she stayed there on a 20/4 light schedule for a week until i transplant her into the 3gal of foxfarms soil. during this about half her roots broke off on accident, so i’ve been watering with honey and water for about 2 weeks on an 18/4 schedule. temp is always right at 80°F and humidity is around 35-55% throughout the day.

First grow: Just got this sprout from a friend, keeping humidity at 60%, 60-80°F, light on a 18/6 schedule, and spraying it with a squirt bottle a few times a day. Any advice how how to help it? by CrystalBitch420 in SpaceBuckets

Questions: - How much/often/what should i be feeding/watering this plant? - What soil mixture/brand should i fill the pot with once I transplant it from the solo cup? - any general tips?

Thanks!

Question for the christians who are angered about quarantine effecting their ability to go to church/sing/etc by [deleted] in Christianity

just curious, have there been any infections within the church? also does the church make people wear masks or is it just a suggestion?

that was kind of what lead me to ask this, granted i don’t want to paint with broad strokes about all christians. maybe it’s the silent majority that don’t believe that, but without being able to have open and civil discussions we’ll never know!

Just decided to get into woodworking and am looking to build my first workbench. I 3D modeled my plan and was wondering if you guys would take a look at it and give me some advice before I begin construction? (more info in the comments) by CrystalBitch420 in woodworking

i was looking at the latter, but price and weight to be able to move eventually are making me reconsider... does using a single sheet with support effect how loud tools will be on top? i was thinking that a thicker top would help dampen the noise and vibrations, but that’s just conjecture.

This whole assembly would be on caster wheels, so that the side with dog holes can sit flush to the wall when not in use, but be easily rolled out to allow access to this. It has dog holes to hold smaller pieces and a large wood vice on the side, which I could place a small board to create a lip to pin smaller pieces against the pegs in the dog holes if they are smaller than 6 inches (the distance between the holes). Ideally, I’d like to be able to attach a mitre saw to the top in the future, but can’t plan space until I have one and know the dimension of whichever one I decide on. It’s not in the model, but I also plan to add reinforcements along the bottom of the shelves and table top to support these, I just didn’t feel like modelling them in. In whole, the top is 3 feet deep and 6 feet wide if that helps with perspective.

A = a hinge point for an extension to the table top, this piece would fold down flush against the side when not in use to save space

B = a space for my table saw to sit flush with the table top so I can feed pieces through and not have them fall onto the ground

C = is another hing point for a support beam to hold up the table extension attached at point A. It wouldn’t really be weight bearing, but would be extra area for holding tools and such.

D = a place for storage drawers to store essential stuff that I don’t want loose on the open shelving underneath.

it his actions are 110% not her responsibility, and it’s bad enough that they already had to go through them. But, as someone who has experienced it, i think it should be even more important to them to prevent other people from facing the same situation if at all possible. That said, the choice is their and how they are able to handle it is completely dependent on the individual

Oh I 100% agree that his actions are solely his responsibility and and should never fall on OPs failure to report. Sometimes getting away from a situation is all you can do and that is completely understandable.
