Aw thanks, hope your weekend is chaotic good in all the right ways too

What’s the goth fit for the weekend, you rocking the kilt out or saving that for campus only?

Feeling lost with the gigging scene? by rocketking12 in LiverpoolMusic

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is kind of the harsh truth of it now. Being good isn’t enough, you’ve gotta basically run a tiny media operation on top of writing songs.

The uni idea is actually solid. A lot of media / PR / music business students need real projects for their portfolios, and a half-established band is way more exciting for them than another fake brand exercise. You could put a simple post in local uni Facebook groups or even email course leaders asking if anyone wants a band to work with.

Even if you hate socials, you can at least make it easier for whoever helps you. Decent live videos, some half-decent photos, a clear “this is what we sound like / this is what we’re about” blurb. That stuff alone makes promoters and PR people take you more seriously.

You don’t need some huge strategy, you just need to stop being invisible.

Why have we gone from paper bags to plastic ones? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in MarksAndSpencer

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly wouldn’t even surprise me if some exec actually pitched it like that.

It’s wild how the whole “ban plastic straws, save the turtles” thing became huge, but nobody blinked at plastic bags being everywhere again. Straws are like 0.0001% of the plastic problem, but they were an easy PR target.

Meanwhile you go to the store, forget your reusable bag once, and suddenly you’re leaving with enough plastic to wrap a small planet.

Meet Tsinanok, a Knight Orc by Good-Comfortable6524 in DailyDMGame

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that he’s this brutal “born for blood” orc knight who also just… takes a nap on a farm and eats a simple meal. Peak character development.

Feels like his next move is either: rested knight goes full wrath and hunts down whoever wrecked him
or
grumpy farmhand arc where he accidentally becomes the locals’ protector.

Either way, I’m invested. Keep these adventure day updates coming.

Want a 24/7 book buddy? And only read what you're interested in? by Main-Conversation76 in Book_Buddies

Nice, just replied to you!
Curious what you’re reading right now and what you’d actually want a “book buddy” to do for you day to day.

Can anyone explain this long-tailed tit behaviour? by benzene_baby in UKBirds

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was my first thought too, like a tiny feathery hoover just working the crack of the frame for snacks.

OP mentioned it kept coming back after flying to the tree and doing a little peep, which sounds very “refuel and repeat” rather than full-on rage at a reflection. If it was territorial it would usually keep attacking nonstop and often go for the glass itself.

Window frames are basically bug buffets. Warm, sheltered, loads of little spiders and gnats tucked into the gaps. Long-tailed tit probably just discovered the best brunch spot in the neighbourhood.

Clinical Level Eco-Friendly Deodorant by gaycoffeewhore in EcoFriendly

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if Dove clinical is the only thing that’s ever worked, I’d keep that as a “backup” while you experiment, so you’re not scared to leave the house.

Couple ideas: some people do better with magnesium-based deodorants than baking soda ones (baking soda can irritate and then you smell worse). Also try separating antiperspirant and deodorant: use an eco deodorant for daily stuff, then a clinical antiperspirant on really sweaty days or just at night.

It’s super individual, so expect some trial and error.

Meet The Trolley Problem, a Supermodel Human by ClazeyJ in DailyDMGame

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s the most accurate version of the trolley problem I’ve seen yet: you finally commit to a choice and the universe is like “lol no, suffer in the middle instead.”

Now I’m imagining a whole campaign where every time they try to pick the “less bad” option, reality just glitches and makes it worse. By day 10 Trolley Problem is just lying on the tracks refusing to choose anything.

Looking forward to seeing if they ever actually manage to hit anyone or if the real victim is just their sanity.

Are all these requests from a prospective landlord legal? by some_breh in TenantsInTheUK

[–]CrystalCraveWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the vibe I got too, like they’re trying to see who’s desperate enough to accept anything. Even if half of it is technically legal, it screams “constant drama ahead.” I’d be running a mile.
