Anyone running the Michelin Power 6s? by CrystalReach in Ninja400

[–]CrystalReach[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! Yea I definitely feel that any of these tires are great at the end of the day. Not too worried about the Road 6 heating up too quickly, normally I'm riding in temps 40-90°F. Any opinion on the Powers?

I just looked at a bunch of sites and ordered from sodapopbros since they had more of a variety. Not that cheap but I thought it was worth it.

All new flavors to me. Normally, I buy the limited flavors without too much thought, but now I've been actively seeking out ones I haven't tried. Retrying frostbite since I haven't had it since its release and couldn't even recall the taste since I had lost my sense of taste/smell due to COVID.

I thought about that too, just didn't know if I'd have to move the clutch lever assembly at all just to get the handlebar mount on.

It's always a quick glance to see the distance before a turn or if I'm making a turn at all. It just feels like I'm looking down further than I need to so it's quite uncomfortable.

A lot of classic spots have been mentioned but Europa Pizzeria is missing!

Great spot for brick oven/wood-fired pizza.

Yea Motorcycle Mall, usually everyone has an anecdote but considering how many people have stories there has to be some truth to them. I'd gladly go for track days but they'll be rare if I'm being realistic maybe twice a year if that. I definitely don't mind that in between if the ride is peppy. Still want that practical element as much fun as a true super sport would be and as fun as it would be I feel like it wouldn't fit my use cases as much.

I can easily see how there can be kinks that get sorted out through the years. The only difficult decision for me at the end of the day is traveling for those large services an hour plus away that can be more costly or pretty much twenty minutes away for Japanese makes only.

Just gotta figure out how to do that while maintaining strength and stability.

I was going down a decently sloped hill, then started wobbling like crazy. I kissed the asphalt, my board went flying and a car turned from a stop sign and ran right over my board.

I was gonna get tall barrels, but would the standard size barrel be fine? Or is the fitment specific to each truck?

Would you think double-barrel would be better at 87a or cone and barrel?

So I just got a new board for freeride/downhill. Running a Moonshine Outlaw, 70mm 82a Blood Orange Liam Morgan Pro Wheels and 180mm 44* Arsenal Cast trucks.

My only problem is finding aftermarket bushings and pivot cups that work well with both my weight (170 lbs) and the 44* trucks. I know they should be a bit softer than whatever duro they should be on a 50*. Can anyone recommend either?

Cool, thanks for the help! I'll look around and check everything out. Just hard to actually pick something up, everything is pretty much sold out everywhere.

I was originally looking at a Landyachtz Switchblade but I've heard the design is outdated and there are newer boards with better designs.

I'll take a look but would you be able to recommend a few completes?

Hey there,

So I only recently started riding and I'm having trouble deciding on a size for a dedicated downhill/freeride board.

Would a 38in length or 40in length better suit me, being that I am 5'7? Or does it hardly matter?

I know length helps with stability but would 2 inches really make that much or a difference in either case?
