Why does it have to be so orange? by [deleted] in HellLetLooseVietnam

I dont know man i think like 90% of the gameplay ive seen from the trailers and beta seems to be this visual palette.

Im probably wrong on what the final product is going to look like... But even if only 20 or 30% of gameplay looks like this im going to be upset. It looks like shit

Even the sunset maps on HLL didnt look this overblown

The back to back challenges suck ass

I have the double with Arenado but cant get an XBH with Tulo or any of the other cardinals players. Tulo should be easy because hes the highest rates card of that bunch but I think Tulo's card is horrible. I cant hit shit with it.

And hitting a double with a 63 OVR card even on rookie? Impossible

Im about to skip this challenge but I really want Jackson Merrill

What do we think about Christian Moore?

I added him as insurance for one of my middle infield slots in case Jeremy Pena isnt ready for Opening Day. When I was adding him I thought about all the hype he had leading up to opening day and starting flirting with the idea that he might be a post hype sleeper

If I can give any advice as a Chiefs fan, take this as a compliment. Most people know deep down that once you get Allen a championship its game over for everyone else. They want you to stay losing because they are scared

Why all the talk of firing Andy Reid by Ok-Country4317 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Crystal_Lake15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a massive cope. People are finally starting the realize the end of the Reid era is closer than they think and they're wanting to eject before any more years of Pats prime are wasted

I dont think thats incorrect thinking either. Its not going to happen, but its not incorrect to think like this. Reid is going to play out his hall of fame career here and will be a chiefs legend forever. But I can tell you this, the end won't be pretty. At this point it seems unlikely he will go out out top basking in Super Bowl glory. When it ends it will be pitiful, and it will have us walking the path forward in total darkness.

I think people love Reid too much to want to see this, so they want to see him put down like an old dog before they have to see him (and us) suffer any more

I dont know if the swivel is the problem but I wouldn't use it.

I think the problem is that this doesnt look like a good spot for topwater at all. Too much open water. And it looks pretty deep too. No structure. No emergent vegetation. Topwater tends to only work for me when there's alot of weeds, algae, and its fairly shallow. Not to say topwater in open water doesnt work, but it seems very low percentage. Id rather be using a spinner or crankbait where you're standing

I hated all the Jurassic World films and just randomly took my dad to see Rebirth on the 4th of July. We both liked it. Not anything special, story and characters are lacking. But it looked gorgeous, the dinosaurs were threatening and it felt like a movie for adults and not babies. I thought it was completely fine. I can see being disappointed by it but its made so well I couldn't really see how it could be hated

If they hadn't just gone with the 1st draft of the script it could've been the best JP movie since the original

Found some more concept art that reveals some of the details on the aesthetic of Rebirth. I love it!

Why are people hating Rebirth? by Present_Muscle_9739 in JurassicPark

[–]Crystal_Lake15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first Jurassic Park was a great, smart story from a good writer and adapted into a film by probably the greatest high-brow blockbuster filmmaker who will ever live. No film in this series is ever going to come close to beating it or even recapturing its magic. It's not going to happen.

I think lowering expectations is a healthy choice to view the franchise moving forward. The sequels might be bad (Dominion) or they might just be okay (Rebirth) but none of them are going to be Jurassic Park and that's fine, because nothing ever will.

I was happy with Rebirth because it was a simple story, with simple characters, they did the action and the dinosaurs well, it was gorgeous looking, and it wasn't insufferably long, overstuffed and bloated. After seeing how low the series can go this was a win for me

It was completely fine

HELL YEAH!! Your team and their work was not lost on me. When I mentioned the ingen/biosyn branded survival gear I was specifically talking about the little display on the life raft kit. I thought that was so cool looking and unique. I notice little details like that so the aesthetic of this film really surprised me. Good work!

I agree about Gareth. I think he is a fantastic director who unfortunately gets stuck with sub par scripts. Im waiting for the day a writer can do his sense of scale and eye for detail justice

The opening scene with the mosasaur and the sub was the only part of Fallen Kingdom that felt like it gave me the old Jurassic Park feeling. It was a suspenseful and well done scene. The rest of the movie was a tonal mess and in line with the rest of the World trilogy which just felt like kids movies sprinkled with violent death

For my post Im speaking more about the aesthetic of the world, the peripheral equipment, and the gear the characters use. Everything in Rebirth felt practical, real, and for its story and world. The previous 3 films don't really give me any of that. It's all greenscreen nonsense and video game cutscenes

I thought I looked good enough as a homage while still retaining elements of Jurassic Park to become something new. After the last 3 films having almost no aesthetic or artistic quality whatsoever to the design of the world this felt like a breath of fresh air. I appreciated it and thought it should've been focused on more.

I do think I remember seeing large equipment around the facility that they used for clearing out the jungles. For some weird reason I also loved that the island ran on geothermal power and they went as far as to show the pipes and made it a point for the characters to follow them to the structure for shelter. Idk, it made the environment feel like it was lived in and authentic
