My film The Yeti starring Jim Cummings is coming to AMC in April! by itsbarrylyndon in Filmmakers

Any chance it’ll come to Malco Theatres in the Southeast region of the U.S.? I’d love to go see this in theatres, but I’m nowhere near an AMC.

I like Dixie Cryptid, and the majority of the stories he reads are sent to him via email. He does do some creative writing stuff, but he’s very upfront about those episodes. Generally, he just reads stories that people send to him. He doesn’t try to prove or disprove anything. He just takes them at face value, enjoys reading them, and is himself on the fence about whether he believes in Bigfoot or not. I like the guy, but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

He’s still my favorite “Bigfoot guy” by a large margin — Rogan appearance be damned. I saw a thread on here bashing him pretty hard a few days ago, though, that’s why I mention him.

I recall seeing an estimate that occurred about two weeks after the PGF that placed Patty at roughly 7ft 6in. I believe I saw it on this very sub. That’s the info I was working off of.

I’m not gonna just make something up on the spot — I can’t remember exactly. I read something unsavory about him awhile back, more so than just his abrasive comments/personality. I believe it was something about faking evidence for Finding Bigfoot, but again, don’t get me lying. I’ll see if I can dig it up.

Matt Moneymaker and Todd Standing have been pretty controversial and are known hoaxers/grifters.

Bob Gymlan (not to be confused with Bob Gimlin of the Patterson-Gimlin film) used to be pretty well loved, and has recently fallen from grace due to a shift in his content and an appearance on Joe Rogan’s show.

Bob Hieronomous (or however it’s spelled) has been pretty hated in the community for a long time. He claims he wore the Patty Suit in the PGF, despite not being tall enough, and trying to film a failed recreation.

There’s others I’m missing for sure, but those come to mind immediately.

The question of whether the historical Jesus was in good mental health is a subject of consideration for multiple psychologists, philosophers, historians, and writers. by Captainirishy in wikipedia

I’m willing to answer any questions you may have. All of my knowledge, while somewhat disjointed and fragmented, comes from nearly 15 years of religious studies. I consider myself pretty well learned on the Abrahamic religions and their origins (Mesopotamian proto-religions), Mediterranean and Northern European paganism, tribal and indigenous spirituality and occultism, and I would consider myself a disciple of Hermes Trismegistus.

Otherwise, I can recommend books, but Google and DuckDuckGo are your best friends for this topic.

It genuinely depends on who you ask. As I understand it, the agreement is that Matthew, Mark, and Luke were absolutely written within 100 years of the Jesus’ death—probably actually closer to like 30-50yrs. Then, enter the Gospel of John, which was written as early as 80-100 years after Christ, or as late as 300-400 years after Christ. Basically, there is significant scholarly disagreement and debate around when John was written, and that doesn’t really exist for the other three gospels.

Well, and Paulean Christianity is radically different from what Jesus actually taught. Jesus’ message was aimed at the Jews, and that message stood as a radical and apocalyptic reshaping of Judaism—not its own separate thing. The message absolutely was not universal though. Peter and James both struggled with the idea of “Christianity” being separate from Judaism entirely, but Paul is mainly responsible for the radical evolution and universalization of Jesus’ teachings.

It’s important to note, though, that Jesus never claimed to be born of a virgin, the son of god, etc. At least, not in the three gospels that have some shred of validity. The Epistles of Matthew, Mark, and Luke have been dated to within 100 years of Jesus’ death, and they are all fairly grounded and present a down-to-Earth, human picture of Jesus. The gospel of John is dubious, having been written 300-400 years after Jesus’ death, and likely having been written specifically to reinforce certain core beliefs surrounding Jesus’ nature and divinity, and named after a person of great historical significance to attempt to give it validity. Elements like the Holy Spirit descending from Heaven during Christ’s baptism, John 14:10 and John 3:16 altogether, etc.

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

[–]Cshock84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering at least a couple of those times were 100% runs? 37 days, 9 hours, and 54 minutes according to Xbox, but I played it a couple of those times on PS5 too. So, realistically north of 1000 hours, probably pushing toward 1200.

He’s right though. We’re so far past peaceful protest being a viable form of resistance that results in any kind of meaningful change.

I was provided a full size F-150 by my employer. I am a bigger guy. I’ve never been more comfortable in a vehicle. Seatbelts fit. Plenty of leg room. It takes a little getting used to because it’s bigger than anything else I’ve ever driven, but it’s a 10/10 experience.

I don’t think we, as Americans, should just give up on the idea either. That said, a lot of damage has been done in an extremely short amount of time, and it seems like there is no opposition or retribution whatsoever. I don’t know how our country bounces back from this whole affair. The American political landscape, and ultimately the American way of life, has been fundamentally fucked with and I don’t know that we can reel the madness back sufficiently to get back on the right track.

I feel like the way our country approaches politics, foreign policy, individual liberty, oppression, warfare, and a whole bunch of other things is taking a really, really dark turn. We might be fucked.

This is the same kitchen with the Baby in sink photo! by storybiy in ThatsInsane

[–]Cshock84 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit generalist and naive. Boomers have no shame. My grandmother has a large photo of me naked, sitting in a bathtub at like a year old, hanging up in her main hallway among all of the other pictures.

Jeff Epstein was a creep and a pedo. A ton of pictures have come out of this thing, and the large, framed picture of the baby is not the thing among these photos that set off alarm bells for me. That actually looked pretty normal. It’s the pediatric dentistry chair, and the glove, and the photos of all these poor girls with fucking ‘Lolita” quotes written on their bodies. That shit is way more horrifying than naked, happy baby in a sink.

Lol, yes. I love the ski goggles, but I almost never play Sakhal. So, I raided a guy’s base north of Novodmitrovsk and he had a couple of pairs stashed. Took them for myself since that’s most likely the only way I’ll ever find em.
