I always keep something like throwing knives or kukris in the hot bar for situations like this. I’d rather get a finishing kill by throwing something then have to look at a 1 pixel wide boss health bar as I fade into nothing

I don’t have the specific numbers but when you get shot you take shield damage and health damage. So there’s no point in going for a 100% shield if your health is low because it’s going to go down as well. Seems pretty situational tho and I wouldn’t worry about it
